Humane Society of Searcy Our shelter is located at 112 Johnston Rd. in Searcy, AR. We are open 7 days a week from 1 to 5 PM.

What The Humane Society & Animal Shelter Does

• Provides a temporary home for lost, abandoned and owner turn in dogs and cats.
• Provides food, shelter and medical care for our animals.
• Cleans and maintains the Searcy Animal Shelter.
• Adopts out animals as per board policy.
• Staffs the Searcy Animal Shelter on a paid and volunteer basis.
• Works in conjunction with the Searcy Animal Control

• Promotes spay and neuter programs.
• Holds fundraising events to earn operating revenues.
• Offers private and corporate memberships to the public at a modest cost.
• Makes educational material available to schools, organizations and the general public.

Puddin' is one of those puppies that just oozes personality. She is a little shy at first and startles easily, but she is a hoot once she comes around. She is super goofy, wiggly, and doesn't believe in sitting still.

When Honey's previous owner dumped her, she was understandably scared, confused, and in flight mode. She had to be herded under a trailer before we were able to catch her. We wouldn't have blamed her if she wanted nothing to do with us after her person betrayed her, but within just an hour of being with us she was the biggest sweetheart who just wanted love and attention. She quickly earned her name 🍯

Honey is a lovebug who doesn't meet a stranger. She likes stuffed toys, tasty treats, and soaking up any and all attention. She is an active dog, very playful, and has some truly impressive zoomies.

Honey does have genetically bad hips that cause her to walk a little funny, but they don't slow her down one bit. She has been looked at by a vet and they believe her body is compensating.

She is 4 years old and weighs 46 pounds. She is heartworm negative and will be microchipped at the time of adoption. If you have additional questions, please call the shelter at 501-268-3535. Comments are not monitored.

Mamma Mia has now been returned for a second time. She had tested okay with dogs at the shelter, but once she got home she was not a fan.

Mia does not like to be held but is very affectionate and likes chin scratches and pets. She is a fantastic biscuit maker.
