Humane Society of Searcy Our shelter is located at 112 Johnston Rd. in Searcy, AR. We are open 7 days a week from 1 to 5 PM.

What The Humane Society & Animal Shelter Does

• Provides a temporary home for lost, abandoned and owner turn in dogs and cats.
• Provides food, shelter and medical care for our animals.
• Cleans and maintains the Searcy Animal Shelter.
• Adopts out animals as per board policy.
• Staffs the Searcy Animal Shelter on a paid and volunteer basis.
• Works in conjunction with the Searcy Animal Control

• Promotes spay and neuter programs.
• Holds fundraising events to earn operating revenues.
• Offers private and corporate memberships to the public at a modest cost.
• Makes educational material available to schools, organizations and the general public.

Jazmine is a great young pup. She is submissive and sweet with people but is more confident around other dogs and does her best to boss them around. She is friendly and social. She does have a stubborn streak on walks and sometimes will decide she doesn't want to move anymore, but some encouragement always gets her going again.

Fred has already gotten so much more confident in his short time at the shelter. He is a great pup and is pretty mild-mannered for his age. He is super sweet and loves a good belly rub.

Fred is 7 1/2 - 8 months old and weighs 41 pounds. He is heartworm negative, neutered, and has had his first two sets of puppy shots. He will be microchipped at the time of adoption. Rosie is a very smiley and happy girl 😊

Rosie is very people-oriented and would like to apply to be your full-time shadow. She likes to be as close to her person as possible and her favorite place to be is leaning against your legs. She is a super sweet girl and settles when she's getting pets, love, and attention. She is friendly with other dogs but can be a rough player.

Our sweet girl Lovey is still waiting for a home 💔 She has been with us for over 7 months with zero interest

Lovey is goofy, funny, and the queen of belly rubs. She has a hard time making dog friends but she is great with people. She has met a group of younger children and did okay, but did get a little overwhelmed. We think she would do okay with respectful kids who can give her space when she wants it.

Teddy was a bottle baby and is small for his age, but don't let him fool you! He has plenty of personality to make up for his smaller size and is ready to give out love taps at a moments notice. He is spunky, playful, and can be a little mouthy.
