If you just brought home a kitten, here are three things nobody warns you about.
1️⃣ Kittens can get pregnant as young as four months old. Most people wait too long to spay or neuter, so talk to your vet early.
2️⃣ String, yarn, rubber bands, and hair ties are a hidden danger. Kittens eat everything, and swallowed string can wrap around their intestines and become a surgical emergency. Pick it up off the floor tonight.
3️⃣ Upper respiratory infections are common, especially in shelter kittens. Watch for sneezing, watery eyes, or not eating. Totally treatable when caught early.
Enjoy the chaos - and if your little one needs us, walk right in. 💙
