Survivor to Sidekick: Meet Stevie! 🐾
If you have been following our rescue’s journey, you might remember when we took in 13 dogs from a heartbreaking puppy mill case. Today, we are incredibly proud to introduce you to one of those brave survivors who is officially ready for his happily ever after: Meet Stevie!
Stevie is a 6-year-old, 15 lb black and white Shih Tzu mix. Stevie is completely blind, but he doesn't let that slow him down for a second! Despite his past and his lack of sight, he is the definition of joyful. It truly doesn't take much to make this resilient guy happy—his favorite things in the world are following his human around the house, keeping your side warm on the couch, and enjoying a good meal (he has a wonderful, healthy appetite!).
Here is the scoop on this sweet boy:
✨ The Good Stuff:
• Total Companion: He is a real love bug who attaches himself to his people and loves being right by your side.
• Fun & Playful: He loves a good game of tug-of-war! Because he can't see, he relies on his ears and absolutely loves toys that make crinkly, crunchy sounds.
• Health: He is neutered and heartworm negative.
• Amazing Milestones: He loves exploring the safety of the backyard, does his business outside, and has even bravely memorized and learned to navigate short steps!
🏡 Stevie’s Quirks & Needs:
• Fashion Forward: While he goes to the bathroom outside, he does need to wear a belly band while indoors. He is a pro at wearing them!
• Eye Care: To keep his eyes comfortable, Stevie is currently on three different daily eye drop medications.
• Sensory Preferences: Because he relies so heavily on his hearing, sudden high-pitched noises like squeaky toys scare him. He is also very afraid of the loud, unpredictable movements of toddlers in walkers. Because of this, he needs a peaceful, predictable home without very young children.

Don't let his lack of sight intimidate you—blind dogs are incredibly adaptable! Stevie already maps out rooms like a pro. Navigating a home with a blind dog just takes a few simple, easy steps: keep your main furniture layout consistent, use a baby gate at the top of long staircases, and let him use his nose and paws to map his new kingdom. You'll be amazed at how quickly he learns your routine!
Stevie has left his past behind and navigates the world with pure love and trust. He is going to make an absolutely incredible, dedicated companion dog.

🐾 ADOPTED! 🎉 From Puppy Mill Rescue to Pre-Adopted Princess! ❤️
Remember back in August when we welcomed a group of resilient souls from a puppy mill situation? Among them was a beautiful girl named Zelda. She adjusted so beautifully to freedom, but she was hiding a little secret... she brought a little extra baggage with her! 🤫
Surprise! Zelda was pregnant, and she blessed us with THREE absolutely perfect puppies. 🥰
Well, the secret was out, and the cuteness overload was real. Zelda's amazing foster mom and her wonderful neighbors fell completely head-over-boots in love with the babies. In fact, the neighborhood was so smitten that all three puppies—including our sweet little Zoe—were officially spoken for and adopted before they were even old enough to leave the nest! 🏡✨
Zoe didn't even have to wait a single day on the adoption market. She went straight from her mama's side right into her forever family's arms, surrounded by the same village that loved her from day one.
We want to send a massive Congratulations to the Steinberg family on officially adopting Zoe! We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to them for opening their hearts and home to foster Zelda and her three puppies, keeping them safe, loved, and pampered until they were ready to head off to their forever futures. Rescues like this truly take a village, and the Steinbergs are the absolute best village we could ask for! 🙌❤️
From a dark beginning in a puppy mill to a life overflowing with love, neighborhood playdates, and a family of her own, we couldn't have dreamed up a more perfect happy ending.

Jupiter is a Heinz-57 with a darling black coat with white markings. She's around 35 lbs and about 5 years old. She's spayed, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines and monthly preventatives.

Jupiter is beautiful and unique which attracts attention everywhere she goes! Her shortness is adorable with that strong solid build. Shes looking for a experienced dog savvy adopter. Good with children but requires a home with older kids 12+.

Enjoys walks, car rides, playing fetch and tug a war. Shes very quiet and we'll mannered in a home but will bark at strangers walking by or any outside commotion.

Her foster family has been working on socializing and Jupiter is doing fantastic building confidence. Shes friendly meeting new people.

She is loyal, loves to snuggle, get belly rubs or content just hanging out with her people. Oh and she takes treats gently!

She's doing well with house and potty training and does wonderful if crating is needed. She actually keeps her crate immaculate and settles in quickly after arranging her blankie how she likes it.

Would do fine with respectful playful dog friends or she'd be happy being a one and only.

A experienced adopter would work best for Jupiter. A calm environment with a adopter who will continue her training in socializing and keeping boundaries set. No cats, she was too interested in them while staying with a vacation foster.

From surprise puppy to cherished family member, Ziggy has officially found his forever home! 🐾

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Ziggy, one of the precious puppies born to our brave puppy mill survivor Zelda, has officially been adopted!
When Zelda came into our rescue back in August after being saved from terrible puppy mill conditions, we had no idea she was carrying a very special secret. Her pregnancy was a total surprise, but bringing Ziggy and his siblings into a safe, loving world has been an incredible joy for our entire rescue team.
Ziggy represents the very best of second chances. He leaves behind the dark shadow of the puppy mill industry and steps into a bright future filled with soft beds, endless treats, and all the love he could ever dream of.
A massive congratulations to Samantha and Saint! Thank you for choosing to adopt, opening your hearts to this sweet Boston Terrier mix pup, and giving Ziggy the beautiful life he truly deserves. We wish your new family a lifetime of wonderful memories, wagging tails, and happy adventures together!

🎉 CONGRATULATIONS TO THE MORGAN FAMILY! 🎉
The sweetest girl in the world has officially found her forever people! Join us in celebrating Cookie, our precious 6-year-old, 29-pound lemon beagle, on her adoption day! 🐾💛
From the moment Cookie arrived at the rescue, she stole all of our hearts with her incredibly sweet, submissive nature. She’s the kind of dog who is completely content just being by your side, being amazing in her crate, and greeting you with the absolute best beagle howls whenever you walk through the door.
Cookie is heartworm positive, but that didn't intimidate the Morgan family for even a second. They saw her beautiful soul, opened up their hearts, and are committed to helping her through recovery from her treatment until she is 100% healthy. We are so deeply grateful for adopters like them who look past a medical diagnosis and see the perfect family member waiting underneath.
Cookie, we are going to miss your wonderful howls, but we couldn't be happier knowing you'll be spending tonight curled up on a couch of your very own, surrounded by all the love you deserve. 🛋️✨

Kayla has been a cherished part of our rescue family since May 5th, and while we will miss her affectionate and playful energy, nothing beats the feeling of seeing her start this exciting new chapter.

The 2027 calendars have arrived! One week left for the pre-orders (early bird donation $20). Nov 1st minimum donation of $25. The calendars are 8.5"x11" folded. All the dogs featured in our calendar are dogs that were in our rescue and have found there furever families. We have a limited amount of calendars so get yours while they are still here. All of your donations go towards helping the dogs in our rescue. As always we appreciate your support.
