Kitten season is HERE! 🙀 Do you or someone you know want to help our tiniest community members? Sign up for our Foster Orientation happening this Sunday, March 23! You can help JHS care for thousands of neonatal kittens (and yes, sometimes puppies!) by signing up to become a foster parent. We give you all the knowledge and supplies, you provide the love. 💕

Current and new foster parents are welcome to attend. You’ll learn everything you need to know to start fostering and have the chance to meet the JHS foster team as well as other future foster parents. We’ll see you there! 😽

Visit three PetSmart stores across Jacksonville from March 24 - 30 and adopt a new best friend! Various adoption discounts will be offered.

Our March Dog of the Month - LASAGNA - is still waiting to find his family!

True to his name, Lasagna has a paw-sonality that’s full of layers and, yes, a little cheesy. 🍝 He's a curious, social pup who loves going on adventures, whether it’s a short sniff walk down the block or a car ride to a fun, new destination. He’s always down to hang out with his favorite people and appreciates a nice cuddle session at the end of a long day.

Lasagna recently went on a Dog Day Out field trip to the beach, where his chaperones described him as polite, full of life, patient, and snuggly!

Our Homeschool Helpers recently learned about how we can promote pets for adoption both in-person at JHS and online. After meeting Marla the dog, they decided to work together to create a social media post to help her find a home! Here's what the kids had to say about their new friend:

Marla is chill. She's very sweet and loving. She loves to play - and she's cute. Marla is great with kids and is very relaxed. She loves to do tricks and play with other dogs. She can sit, shake, lay down, and roll over. She loves butt scratches. Marla is joyful, skillful, calm, and can be such a happy, positive dog. She smiles every day. 😊🐾

Amira raised the WOOF at THE PLAYERS Championship today! 😍⛳️ We told her that JHS was chosen as Charity of the Day, so the visit wasn’t technically all about her… but all Amira heard was “unlimited pets and treats,” so she was a happy spokespup.

We are beyond grateful to have been invited to the Championship’s first-ever Charity of the Day program and for all the ways our friends at THE PLAYERS support pets and the people who love them. 💙

P.S., Amira is available for adoption at JHS! She hopes you’ll come meet her soon, but be aware her ego is sky-high now. 😉
