Bertha's a real sweetheart to have around. She's good with cats and usually with dogs too. She's trying her best with potty training, but at her age (around 10), accidents happen to the best of us. She'd fit right in most homes and is super kid-friendly. She loves walks but has some arthritis, so a home without stairs would probably be best, even though she can still manage them.

Everyone knows we recently had cats dumped and semo pets had momma and pups dumped. reading comments and folks ask what to do when in a situation where you absolutely can not keep a pet.
Super easy way (still takes some time and a little team work) but pages on Facebook here are for that situation, folks post the pet, reason and deadlines and other help get them tagged into a shelter or rescue that could have space. it speeds up the waiting list because if someone has that pet on a wish list p**f they can tag and get them in and out to a home or maybe a shelter had a great month and space opened, fosters can be found etc. so utilizing these pages helps prevent this. Every local shetler shares supplies to help keep pets home longer when folks are in a bind. all 3 local shelters do this when able and all from local ( and some non local) support. Shelters are drowning in pets everywhere and everyone is struggling in this economy so if we work together we get stuff done.
