Our clinic cat, Mike, is officially turning 1 year old on September 11th!

To celebrate his first birthday, we want to give back to pets in our community. We will be collecting donations for SEMO Pets in honor of Mike’s birthday.

Donations can include:
• Treats
• Food
• Toys
• Blankets
• Litter

Every donation, big or small, will help a pet in need and make Mike’s first birthday extra special. ❤️

Donations can be dropped off at the clinic.

🎡IT’S ALMOST FAIR TIME!🎡

A friendly reminder to all exhibitors: HEALTH CERTIFICATES ARE REQUIRED for your fair animals including cattle, goats, sheep, and hogs! Coggins required for equine.📋

📅 The earliest dates health certificates can be wrote and remain valid within the required 30-day period are:

➡️ August 19th— SEMO District Fair ONLY
➡️ August 28th — SEMO District Fair & Altenburg Fair

📞 Call to schedule an appointment for your fair animals!

When scheduling, please be prepared to provide the following information:

🐄Information Needed:
• Name of person showing
• Breed
• Name of animal / Registration number
• Official ID tag number (EID, 840 tag, or scrapie tag)
• Tattoo, brand, ear tag
• S*x
• Date of Birth (DOB)
• Owner’s name and address
• Which fair the animal will be attending

📧After your appointment is scheduled, a form with this required information will be sent to you by email. Please complete the form and return it as instructed so we have everything needed!

Deer Ridge Animal Hospital clients, please be aware that MoDot is routing extra wide vehicles from the interstate onto Highway 61, so there are numerous back ups from the new round about on Highway 61 in front of the Civic center. Please allow extra time to reach the clinic. We are sorry for any difficulties!

The 4th of July is just around the corner! 🇺🇸

While we enjoy the fireworks and celebrations, many pets can become frightened or anxious from the loud noises. If your pet struggles with fireworks, now is the time to prepare.

Contact your veterinarian before the holiday if you think your pet may need anxiety calming medication. Be sure to keep pets safely indoors, provide a quiet space, and make sure their ID tags and microchip information are up to date.
