📱🐾 Your Pet’s Reminders… Right at Your Fingertips! 🐾📱

Life gets busy...between work, kids, holidays, and everything in between, it’s easy to forget pet meds or upcoming appointments. That’s why we love our app’s custom reminders feature!

Not only does the app send health reminders automatically…🤯 you can set your own reminders too!

Perfect for things like:
• Boarding or grooming appointments
• Daily medications you always forget
• Monthly treatments (Librela, Solensia, Cytopoint, etc.)

🎯 How to set a reminder:
1. Open the app and tap My Pets
2. Select your pet
3. Tap + NEW (bottom right)
4. Choose Add Reminder ⏰
5. Add your description, emoji, date & time, then hit Save

Tip: If it’s something recurring, just edit the date after you give the dose!

Your future self (and your pet!) will thank you. 😉💛

🚨🐶 Kennel Cough Alert 🐶🚨
We’re seeing an increase in Kennel Cough cases from local daycare, boarding, and grooming facilities.

If your dog has recently visited one of these facilities and is showing symptoms, please give us a call at (573) 243-3916.

We recommend the annual Kennel Cough vaccine for all dogs, but it’s important to know that, like the human flu shot, it’s not 100% protective. It does reduce your dog’s risk of infection and usually makes symptoms milder if they do catch it.

Dogs who go to high-traffic dog areas (daycare, boarding, grooming) are at a much higher risk of exposure, so keep a close eye on any symptoms and reach out if you’re concerned.

Cheers to good friends, good times… and keeping the drinks out of paw’s reach! 😉

While you enjoy your favorite beverage, remember that alcohol (even in small amounts) can be dangerous for pets — causing vomiting, low blood sugar, or much more serious issues.

✅ Keep glasses and bottles where curious noses can’t reach
🚫 No “just a lick” - even small sips can make pets sick
💧 Offer your dog a pup cup or fresh water instead!

How fitting that we’re introducing our newest team member on Veterans Day, as Brenda is a Veteran herself, having proudly served 24 years in the Missouri Army National Guard. 💙

We’re so excited to welcome her to the Jackson Veterinary Clinic family! You’ll see her smiling face up front as one of our receptionists, helping care for both our clients and their pets.

Trick-or-treat night is almost here! 🚪 While kids love the nonstop doorbell rings, it can be stressful (and even risky) for pets. Here’s your last Halloween safety reminder.

✔️ Give nervous pets a quiet space away from the action.
✔️ Keep IDs and microchips up-to-date in case of escape.
✔️ Watch for open doors when greeting trick-or-treaters.
