Pet Friendly Services is Indiana's statewide animal welfare organization whose mission is to eliminate the euthanasia of adoptable cats and dogs through financial assistance, education, and advocacy. Pet Friendly Services of Indiana was formerly known as Spay-Neuter Services of Indiana (SNSI), which began serving limited-income pet lovers in central Indiana in 1977. Pet Friendly Services provides

free and discounted spay/neuter surgeries to animal rescues and people in need thanks to revenues received from the Pet Friendly license plate, grants, donations, fundraisers, and bequests. We partner with a network of compassionate and caring veterinarians who perform surgeries at reduced rates so that we can move Indiana to zero kill. Mission
Pet Friendly Services is a statewide animal welfare organization whose mission is to eliminate the euthanasia of adoptable cats and dogs through financial assistance, education, and advocacy. Vision
The vision of Pet Friendly Services is to help every Indiana animal shelter reach and maintain zero-kill status through financial assistance and education, as well as advocate on State and local levels for effective and humane animal welfare legislation while serving as a successful model for other states throughout the country. What We Do
Pet Friendly Services runs 3 targeted programs, proven to reduce shelter intake and unnecessary euthanasia. With fewer animals, shelters are able to better care for the animals already in the shelter, increase adoption rates, and increase morale among staff members. We also host the annual Indiana Animal Welfare Conference, bringing our state’s shelters and rescue groups together for a day of learning and networking so we can continue to increase the number of lives we save.

Are the cats in your neighborhood multiplying more and more each year? 🙀TNR is the answer!

Trap-Neuter-Return is the most humane method of reducing the population of community cats.

Kittens should be fixed no later than 5 months old, and can be fixed as young as 6 weeks old. (As long as they’re 2 pounds.)

To find a spay/neuter clinic near you that you can get community cats fixed for low (or no!) cost, use this tool:

🎵It's a Love Story, baby just meow yes🎵... to spay/neuter!

Unlike celebrities, cats are a little less formal with their engagement announcements. But when it comes to romance, they don’t Shake It Off—they move fast. One Wildest Dream and suddenly it’s "You Belong With Me… and six kittens".

A female cat can get pregnant as early as 4 months old and may have multiple litters a year. That’s a Cruel Summer of kittens before you know it!

Don’t let your cat be Trouble, Trouble, Trouble—spay/neuter keeps them healthier, prevents All Too Well many litters, and saves lives.

Don’t wait until a Midnight proposal—say “I do” to spay/neuter today. 🐾💍

Great (and important!) news from our friends at The White County Animal Wellness Center!

Great (and important!) news from our friends at The White County Animal Wellness Center!

Our TNR program is back up and running! Some things have changed so ‼️PLEASE READ CLOSELY‼️:

- There is now a $45 "rental fee" per trap. This money is returned to you once the traps are returned to us in GOOD condition. The fee has gone up because we have new and better traps!
- You can have the traps in your possession for a MAXIMUM of 2 weeks unless discussed with WCAWC prior.
- Our days for surgery are Monday - Wednesday. Drop off is between 8-9am and you MUST call before you bring any cats in for surgery.

Below are the steps to follow if you wish to participate in this program:

Step 1: Call the White County Animal Control at (574) 583-7103.
Step 2: An officer will confirm a feral/outdoor colony overpopulation and provide you our program information.
Step 3: Come to the White County Animal Wellness Center to rent a trap for $45 per trap. This fee will be returned to you. You also MUST use our traps. This is how we will track incoming surgeries and locations of spayed/neutered cats.
Step 4: Catch your colony member(s).
Step 5: Bring the occupied trap(s) to WCAWC during our business hours for surgery.
Step 6: Return to WCAWC at the end of our working hours to retrieve the cat(s).
Step 7: Release the cat(s) back into their colony once awake.
Step 8: Return your trap to WCAWC and receive your rental fee back!

With your participation in this program we can help stabilize feral cat colonies! If you have any questions call us at (219) 255-9286. We are excited to be able to offer this to our community!
