As summer fast approaches and temperatures are rising, we would like to remind you to limit your pet's time outdoors. The pavement gets much hotter than the air feels, and in just 60 seconds the hot ground can cause damage to your pets' paws! It is always important to remember that if the ground is too hot for your bare feet, it is too hot for theirs- including grass!

As July approaches, we wanted to remind everyone to ask your veterinarian about getting anxiety medications now to be prepared for the fireworks.

To the animals that allow us to be a part of their lives, we thank you. Thank you for all of the snuggles and fun stories. Thank you for giving us the ability to keep you healthy. We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for all of you, and it is so wonderful seeing how much love you and your parents share. If we could bark or meow in a way that you would understand, we wouldn't ever stop telling you how much we appreciate you.

We currently have a veterinary student working with us and we asked her why she wanted to be a vet. She said, "Animals don't have a voice, but I do, and I can't wait to be theirs. Even on your worst days, even though you've made mistakes, your pets are always going to love you with absolutely zero conditions."

Today is not only half-way through Pet Appreciation Week, but it is also Hug Your Cat Day! So, naturally, we had to include the staff members with the most cats in their homes today. They said, "We love spending each day with them and getting to experience their different purrsonalities!"

Starting off Pet Appreciation Week are animals that live with two of our staff members. Dr. Friedberg says that she loves having dogs because they are always so loyal and she just really loves their faces! (And we couldn't agree more!)

Happy Pet Appreciation Week!
To start this week out, we wanted to highlight everyone's favorite Emotional Support Manager, Bu**er! While he may not fit the exact definition of being someone's pet, he is still such a great cat to have around, and we couldn't imagine a day here without him! He truly is like family to us all.

As the week goes on, we will highlight some of our own pets that make each day a little bit brighter for all of our staff here. We would encourage you to share photos of your own in the comments as well!

Thank you to the animals that allow us to be here. He truly appreciate all of you - even if we cant express that through a bark or a meow!
