We’re Honored to Announce a Grant from
The Grey Muzzle Organization

We’re thrilled to share that Luna Farms Rescue has been awarded a grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization to help save more senior dogs from rural shelters across the Southeast through our Encore Pups program.

This generous funding will provide the critical medical care that older dogs often need to safely leave the shelter and thrive in loving homes. From diagnostics and dental work to arthritis management and seizure medication, this support helps ensure that age is never a barrier to finding a family.

And this post wouldn’t be complete without introducing Pearl, an 11-year-old senior who is one of our very first Encore Pups! Pearl has seizures. Thanks to this grant, Pearl is receiving the care she needs to live her golden years surrounded by love and comfort.

To The Grey Muzzle Organization: thank you for seeing the beauty in age and for helping us give dogs like Pearl the encore they deserve.

Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day is celebrated in August. 🌈 This day is dedicated to remembering our beloved pets who have passed away,

Mark your calendars for August 29th and join us at Hollywood Feed! 🐶🐱

This event will be all about honoring the memory of our best friends who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We're planning some meaningful activities, including a memorial wall with remembrance prompts for you to celebrate the life of your pets.

Meet Missy – 15 Pounds of Love and Legendary Cuddles 💕

Missy may be a petite gal at just 15 pounds, but don’t let her size fool you—her heart is massive, and it’s packed to the brim with love for life, warm blankets, and cozy cuddles. This senior sweetheart is the queen of encore living—housebroken, polite, and a total pro at stealing hearts.

Missy’s vision isn’t quite what it used to be, so she can get a little nervous around other pups. She prefers her friends to approach slowly and kindly—after all, she’s a dignified lady with standards. What she lacks in eyesight, she makes up for in charm, snuggles, and an excellent sniffer for treats (aka "Yum Yums").

If you're looking for a soft snuggler to share snacks, slow walks, and all your favorite quiet moments, Missy is your girl. She’s got a lot of love left to give—and she’s saving it all for you. 💗

Freedom Friday! TWENTY ONE pups got their freedom rides this week. 🚐

The numbers kept changing but we think this is the final count. The only thing that stays the same in rescue is the fact nothing ever stays the same.

We truly couldn’t do this without our amazing village. 💪🐶 of fosters, vets, and our supporters!
