Ear mites are not an uncommon finding in our outdoor felines. You can see our friend had several "friends" of their own crawling around in the ear. If kitty is itching their ears, it is always a good idea to get them checked. You never know what you may find.

Why it is important to take radiographs of the lungs prior to growth removals to check for spread. The radiograph on the right is of the same animal as the one on the right. Less than 6 months separate the two shots. The one on the left is clear from any signs of spread, the one on the right shows how fast things can change. The lungs are not the same shape, and the heart is now obscured by either fluid or growth. The take home is "just because it was normal a few months ago, doesn't mean it still is."

We had a lot of first timers yesterday, and we were a little busy, so I'm late getting them posted. They were all really good for their first trips, although some were a little more wiggly than others. :)
