Tom cats, especially neutered ones, are at risk for having their urethra blocked by a mix of mucous and crystals. You can see the bladder of this guy in the first picture, then when he was sedated and had the catheter placed, and finally the xray that shows his bladder draining and the catheter in place. If you every see your male cat squatting to p*e and nothing coming out, he could be blocked and needs to be seen immediately. This can kill them.
