Zycortal is used to help manage Addison’s disease in dogs by replacing an important hormone their body isn’t producing enough of. Staying consistent with injections, monitoring, and rechecks is an important part of keeping pups like King feeling their best. 💙

Tucker came in for a follow-up on his chronic itchiness after repeated licking and chewing caused a sore near the base of his tail. 🐾

We gave him a Cytopoint injection to help with the itch and sent him home with antibiotics, pain medication, medicated shampoo, and an ear flush to help get him more comfortable. 🩵

Constant licking, chewing, paw biting, or scratching can be signs of allergies or another underlying skin issue — and over time, all that irritation can lead to wounds and secondary infections.

Merci came in after a bite from a housemate left him swollen and painful. We took X-rays to check for fractures, ran bloodwork, cleaned the wound, and sent him home with antibiotics and pain medication. 🐾

Even pets who normally get along can have disagreements. If aggression happens at home, safely separate them, give everyone time to decompress, and avoid physically getting between fighting pets. If it becomes a pattern, talk with your veterinarian about possible medical or behavioral causes.

Bite wounds can also be more serious beneath the skin than they appear, so it's always a good idea to have them checked.

Luna came in for follow-up care after an unexpected wildlife encounter left her with a few wounds. Mom isn't quite sure whether the culprit was an opossum or one VERY big rat 😅🐾

We clipped and thoroughly cleaned Luna's wounds and prescribed pain medication to keep her comfortable while she heals. She was already on antibiotics from her ER visit.

Wildlife encounters can cause punctures and injuries that aren't always obvious under all that fur, so it's important to have your pet checked even when a wound looks small.

Sweet Mallow came in for her annual wellness care and was such a good girl for Kirbi 🐾🩵

During her visit, we performed an ear cytology and flushed her ears with a medicated cleaner. We also found a skin infection on her back, so her vaccines were postponed while we focused on getting her skin healthy first.

Wellness visits aren't just about vaccines — they're an opportunity to catch concerns and adjust your pet's care based on what they need at that visit. 💙

Sweet Nieves needed a little extra help after an emergency visit for constipation 🐾🩵 When he still wasn't able to go after an e***a, he came back for hospitalization and monitoring.

We ran bloodwork and gave him fluids, food, laxatives, and of course plenty of cuddles from Kirbi. 💙 Thankfully, Nieves finally passed a BIG stool — probably the only time you'll see an entire veterinary team and a pet parent this excited about p**p 😂

He was such a sweet kitty through it all, and we're happy we could help get him more comfortable.
