"Wanted to give an update on our Zeus! He was born to Lobo and Licorice von Baum in 2022 and has been an awesome dog! He is very emotionally intelligent and has been a great companion to my husband and I. He was the ring bearer at our wedding in 2024, and traveled with us across the country by RV through 4 national parks. He loves his sister, Athena and has a goofy puppy attitude with her, laying down and letting her pounce on him! He gets very concerned when Athena is misbehaving and always tattles on her to me when I don't notice her breaking into the food or scratching my carpet. His emotional intelligence is off the charts, sometimes he knows when I am feeling frustrated or emotional before I even know! This can be a problem for my husband and I, we have to use very calm language whenever we have a disagreement otherwise Zeus gets upset and hides. That being said, we never have to raise our voice to him, he is a fine tuned instrument, I just lift my eyebrow and he knows he is doing something naughty 🤣" - Autumn D.

Meet Olaf, our 3-year-old, 60-pound Border Collie/Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix, adopted from a shelter and raised in the PDX/Hood River area. Olaf is healthy, up to date on vaccinations, and looking for a new home without small children.

If you’re looking for a high-energy partner for herding, agility, or epic outdoor adventures, Olaf is highly-trained and ready to roll. He’s happiest when he has space to run and a job to do—whether that’s learning new tricks, joining you on hikes, or helping out on the farm. Olaf is sweet, loyal, and loves to play. He’s extremely intelligent and responsive to commands, walks nicely on leash, and is always eager to learn something new.

Olaf is very social and loves playtime with other dogs. He thrives in daycare and nature boarding environments and has shared a home with other dogs before. He does best with other dogs when introductions are managed and when there’s clear structure around sharing resources in the house.

Olaf thrives with adults and would do best in a home without children. He’s looking for someone who understands herding breeds and can give him the structure, activity, and mental challenges he craves. "It's been a few months since I've written. Chips birthday is in 3 days, so I thought it appropriate to show you his handsome face....Everyone that sees him when we go out in public wants to pet him or feed him or point at him. He loves other dogs, including a pug that is his 2nd best friend. He's a bit spoiled and headstrong, but getting more willing and biddable by the day. His only really bad habit is jumping on people he likes....he doesn't do it to me or to Michael (does that mean he doesn't like us? or that we won't tolerate it? Hmmm...lol). He's a character for sure. Doesn't he look like his Mom? Handsome and sweet...
