Let’s just say Kylie isn’t the one to ask if one kitten is enough 😉😍 Meet Haku, Octavia Butler, and Hedy Lamarr! The newest additions to our Arrowleaf community! They’ve been keeping Kylie busy and smiling for days.

Haku didn’t quite like his Credelio at first but eventually took his flea and tick medicine. During your kitten appointment, we discuss disease testing, vaccines, food, litterbox training, deworming, and flea and tick medications. We also discuss any other questions you have.

The Arrowleaf Veterinary team does Timberline Lodge! We had a blast celebrating our team this fall and loved hanging out even outside of work!

We enjoyed a yummy brunch and were able to share the fun with loved ones.

Miyuki was very appreciative her dental assistant, Diana, kept her haircut looking fresh and her bow looking just right after her dental procedure yesterday.

We are so lucky to keep up with Miyuki’s dental health and ensure she stays pain and infection free. Not to mention better breath!

Let us know if your pet needs an oral exam or if you’ve been smelling some not so pleasant odors. This can mean infection and pain even if your pet is still eating! We want to have for our pet patients. 🥰🦷🪥

A little Saucer love! Saucer came in for a general check up today 🥰. Lauren, Saucer’s mom and one of our assistants, wants to keep her in top adventuring shape!

Arrowleaf Veterinary will be closed Friday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. We will be open until 5 pm on Thursday, July 3rd so please let us know if you need calming medications for any critters in your life that find fireworks scary.

Toast knows you can sometimes feel a little ssstretched (on time!) so we now have Tuesday morning appointments! We offer appointments all day on Mondays and Fridays along with Tuesday mornings. We will continue to have surgical procedures on Wednesday and Thursday mornings along with appointments in the afternoons.

Thanks for letting us take care of sweet Toast! He was licking his paw a lot and it turned out he had a skin infection that required a course of antibiotics.

Meet Alley! Dr. Morelos and Alley are good buds now but before figuring out a good pre-appointment sedation protocol Alley would BOLT! Every wellness visit was stressful for him and everyone trying to help so we recommended a combination of medications to help reduce his anxiety.

With medication, low stress-handling (lots of treats), and gentle love, we can now treat Alley when he has a problem. He came in with painful ears this week and we were able to diagnose an ear infection, look into his ear canals, treat his ears with medication, AND get bloodwork for a wellness panel!

He was a rockstar and we are so thankful to his humans for trusting us with his care. We love pets like him when they open up and share their sweet personalities once the fear is diminished.

We always try to think about your dog or cat’s wellbeing when they come for exams, and sometimes that means treating their anxiety along with their presenting problem.

Did you know highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) has been causing cat illness and deaths? This is a newly emerging disease in our pet population in Oregon. Dr. Morelos and Dr. Johnson prepared a blog post about what you need to know to help protect your pets including prevention tips, signs of illness, and how we can help guide you if you suspect exposure to your pet.
