🦷 Young, healthy teeth still need a closer look! 🦷

It’s easy to assume that a young dog with a bright, clean-looking smile and strong teeth doesn’t need much attention when it comes to dental health. But even healthy-looking teeth can suffer damage, especially in our strong chewers!

Our friend Gatsby is a great example. Gatsby is a strong, enthusiastic chewer, but unfortunately, chewing on a bone resulted in a slab fracture that required an extraction. 🦷

Dental injuries like fractures aren’t always easy to spot at home, and some problems can be hiding below the gumline or in areas that are difficult to evaluate during a routine physical exam.

So whether your pet is young, has beautiful teeth, or could probably chew through a brick 😂 regular, thorough dental exams are still important!
