With the heat wave comes paw pad🐾 burns -
Please be mindful when going to walk your fur babies. Their paws are far more susceptible to burns and injury in the hot weather.

Here are some tips you can follow to help minimize risk of injury :
•Check the pavement before your walk(place your hand or bare foot on the pavement for five seconds. If it’s too hot for your skin, then it’s most likely too hot for your pet.)
•Walk during cooler times of the day.
•Keep midday walks short.
•Refrain from walking on hard surfaces and stick to the grass.
•Stick to a shady and cool route

☀️ Warning for everyone this week ☀️ Be wary with your pets outside. Especially today! Doctor Mintzer, went for an early walk and it was already rough with the heat! Please be careful and watchful of your pets to keep them safe, they are much more sensitive than we are 🐾
