Rainy days = extra snuggles ☔🐾

Meet Raven 💕 This sweet girl brightened our gloomy day and reminded us that even the rain can’t dampen the love we have for our patients. From wagging tails to gentle cuddles, they make every day better rain or shine.

Meet Sadie 🐾💖
She came in for her very first puppy visit, and we are already smitten! Sadie has heterochromia, meaning each eye is a different color. This happens when melanin develops differently in each eye, and in dogs it’s a harmless genetic trait that simply makes them extra unique.

Welcome to the Animal Care Hospital family, Sadie!💖

Double the puppies, double the Monday smiles 🐾💙

Willie & Merle stopped by for some love and checkups, and they completely stole our hearts! At just 12 weeks old, these sweet siblings are already pros at posing and soaking up all the attention. We’re so lucky to watch them grow! 🐶✨

🐱💨 National Hairball Awareness Day 💨🐱

Hairballs are a very common result of normal grooming in cats, but understanding them helps you recognize what’s typical and when something may require further attention. Hairballs form when a cat swallows loose fur while licking their coat—most hair passes through the digestive tract, but some can accumulate and be regurgitated as a hairball.

Did you know:
• A hairball is technically called a trichobezoar, and it often looks like a compact, tube‑shaped mass of fur.
• Cats of all coat lengths can develop hairballs, though long‑haired breeds tend to be more prone.
• Occasional hairballs can be normal, but frequent episodes or changes in appetite, energy, or vomiting patterns may warrant veterinary evaluation.

To learn more about hairballs and how they develop in cats, you can visit Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine’s Feline Health Center website for trustworthy, vet‑reviewed information: https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/hairy-dilemma
