Little Marbella is a pretty young Shih Tzu who is tiny! Birthdate is 6/23/ 24 and she is ready to discover what it means to be someone's cherished companion.
Mirabella came to us as a release from a Wisconsin breeding farm. She has never lived in a home, so this whole new world is going to take some getting used to. She isn't housebroken, and because she has had very little experience with the everyday things that come with being a family dog, she is understandably shy.
Mirabella will need an adopter who understands that she won't become confident overnight. Her new family will need to give her time, patience, and plenty of reassurance as she learns that she is finally safe.
A confident, friendly dog in her new home would be incredibly helpful. Mirabella can watch her canine friend and learn from them—where to go, how to interact with people, how to enjoy a cozy bed, and all the other things that dogs who have grown up in homes take for granted.
She will also need a securely fenced yard. Mirabella has never been on a leash, so a fenced area will give her a safe place to explore and gain confidence without putting her at risk.
There may be a shy little girl hiding behind those big eyes right now, but we believe there is so much more waiting to emerge. With each passing day, she can learn that hands can be gentle, homes can be safe, and people can be trusted.
And underneath all that uncertainty is a little dog with so much love to give.
Mirabella isn't looking for a family who expects her to be perfect right away. She's looking for someone who will give her the time she needs to blossom.
Give her patience. Give her security. Give her a doggy friend to follow.
And most importantly, give her the chance to show you just how much love this tiny girl has been saving for her very own family.
