Grove City Area Pet Rescue

Grove City Area Pet Rescue Grove City Area Pet Rescue is a 501C3 organization that helps local animals find forever homes.

We are a 501C3 organization that tries to help as many local homeless pets find forever homes and decrease the area's overpopulation of dogs and cats through spaying and neutering. All of the dogs and cats are examined by a vet, spayed or neutered and current with vaccinations before they are placed. Adult dogs are tested for heartworms and cats/kittens are tested for FIV/FeLV. Adopted: Mama Rebell and her babies, Rocky and Ruby, are ready for their forever home.
Remember mama’s story that she brought her very injured baby on the porch of a homeowner who called us for help. We knew there were other babies and we couldn’t take Mama at that time. Later that evening she brought another injured kitten to the homeowner who called us. We knew there was another baby out there and had to leave mama behind. The next morning, Mama brought her baby to the homeowner, but it had already passed away. So we went and grabbed Mama .
Mama Rebell was a mess. Her whole rear end was bald from the chronic diarrhea she was suffering from. She was underweight and so petite. But she is a warrior in my book. She saved her babies from a horrible death. She is all healthy now and ready for her furever home. And she deserves a home that will treat her like the queen she is.
She is super friendly. It’s funny because when she first came here, all she did was growl. But I came to find out that I don’t think she knew how to meow. Because it was weeks before I heard her first meow. She was never mean even a little bit. She’d be growling and you go right up to her and she’d be headbutting making that same “growly”noise. I think she’s lived her entire life in fight or flight mode and she didn’t know how to relax and meow. But she has since found her meow and is the most affectionate little thing. She doesn’t seem to mind other cats and loves to nose smell with my dog through the kennel.

Babies Rocky and Ruby ……. these two have been through so much. Rocky is the baby that we rescued with the severe injury to its neck. Ruby was rescued later that evening and she had bite wounds on her neck. I am 100% sure had not intervene. These two would’ve died a horrible death from infections. These siblings love to play together and I would love for them to go together. Ruby is going to be a fluff as she seems to have medium to long hair. Rocky is going to be more shorter hair but he has a fluff to him as well. Ruby will melt your heart with her big sad eyes and Rocky will melt your heart with his loving demeanor.

In a perfect world I’d love to find someone to adopt mama and her two babies and keep the whole family together.

ADOPTED TOGETHER !!!❣️🐾❣️
Meet Jessie and Duke. Looks like their brothers from another mother but these siblings were found, along with their sister Daisy who has been adopted, when a homeowner in Mercer came home and these 3 kittens came running up to them.
It was obvious that they were dumped (actually found on a road in Mercer with the nickname “dump road” because many cats are dumped here.) These babies were clean, friendly and obviously were someones until they thought the most humane thing to do is to throw them away on the side of the road near a home in hopes they make it. Thankfully these people immediately called one of our volunteers, their country neighbor, and Jeff immediately got them and called us.
These boys are super friendly. They love to be handled and loved on.
Jessie and Duke are approx 4 months old, neutered, tested, vaccines, dewormed and flea treated.

It was a crazy weathered weekend. We had a great time at Grove City Strawberry Days but the weather was not in our favor. The rain kept most folks away Friday and Sunday. Saturday we had a great day serving up sloppy joes, hot dogs and chicken fried rice. Thank you to Stephanie, Conner and Lillian for working the food booth this weekend. We appreciate you support and hard work.
It may have been dreary outside but it’s always great to see adopters who come to our booth to show us their fur baby. We saw of of the beagle puppies we rescued. Met some familiar faces and made new friends. It’s a great event that our little town does and I sure hope people around here know how blessed we are to have something like this in our hometown.
