Lucy Lou, formally Dutchess, living her Best life. This is why we do what we do. These precious animals don’t deserve living a stray life. Dutchess was rescued from a huge TNR job at a trailer park this summer. She was given to us by someone because she kept having kittens around the trailer park. She was 1 of 5 being trapped and fixed I brought her to my house along with the others on Friday to get fixed and recovered. She was the only friendly one. I knew she was special and decided we would take her into the rescue and find her a home. Sunday when we released the TNR cats we were told Dutchess had babies in someone’s trailer. 6 babies, sick and infested with fleas, I was horrified and sickened not only with how sick the babies were but they’ve been without their mama for 3 days !!!!! Instantly rescued them and reunited them with mama after we triaged them all. Mama Dutchess was an amazing mother and I got to care for and help raise all her babies. They all got wonderful homes. (The Aristocats litter)
I was worried about Dutchess. Not many people adopt adults. We have MANY that have been at the adoption center for years waiting for their furever home. But I was DETERMINED to find this mama an amazing home. She deserved it!
I watched her, an underweight flea infested cat that no one cared about, go through a spay shortly after having babies ( she was so undernourished she didn’t have a lot of milk), being without her babies and then being reunited and watching them be so sick and the entire bunch become healthy adoptable pets.
Dutchess got that amazing home and here she is being so spoiled and loved on. She’s the queen of the house. I get pictures all the time of her and I love it. As her foster mama, it’s so heartwarming to see her so loved.
We would love for everyone who has adopted from us to post a picture of “our furbabies”. We love seeing them all grown up. As I mentioned, it’s so heartwarming to us foster moms seeing our little babies all grown up. Post their original name if you can 🐾❣️🐾
