💛 Rescue Appreciation Post! 💛

This week we want to give a huge thank you to some amazing rescue partners for stepping up for dogs that truly needed a second chance.

Cannoli had been in our custody for 113 days. He had been adopted and returned, and hope was starting to feel slim — but Labor of Love saw his potential and gave him the fresh start he deserved! We are so excited for Cannoli and his new beginning.

Next, our sweet Peanut waited 46 days before The Rescue Haven Inc. stepped up to give him a second chance at life. Thank you for seeing the amazing dog we all knew he was!

Then we have Charlotte, our sweet momma dog who was found on the side of the road with her two starving puppies. Of course, her puppies found homes while Charlotte kept getting overlooked. Later, it was discovered she may have presumed pemphigus foliaceus, and we knew placement would become even harder. To our surprise, Mercy Rescue Haven stepped up for her, and we are so grateful they’re giving this sweet girl the chance she deserves.

Last but not least, Balto — a puppy found locked in a wire crate filled with f***s, in the rain, with no access to water. On top of that, he was suffering from severe demodex. When we reached out to Greenville Humane Society, they were able to step up ASAP and help him get the care he desperately needed.

Thank you to all of our incredible rescue partners for helping us save lives day by day. We truly couldn’t do this without you! 💛

This week we want to give a huge thank you to some incredible rescue partners for stepping up for dogs who truly needed a second chance.

First, our 100-day length-of-stay boy Rocket Man — a parvo survivor who just couldn’t seem to get adopted here at the shelter — finally got scooped up by The Rescue Haven Inc in Ohio! We are so incredibly grateful, and we know Rocket Man is too.

Next, we have Miss Frizzle, another long length-of-stay pup at 70 days. This sweet girl deserved so much more than shelter life, and Have a Puppers Day saw her potential and gave her the second chance she deserved!

Then there’s Sir Nicholas, an amazingly sweet boy who came in with a severe embedded collar wound. He desperately needed a quiet place to heal, and Final Victory Animal Rescue stepped up to give him exactly that. We are so excited for his brighter future ahead!

Last but certainly not least, Chevy, Pickleball, and June came in after their owner was found deceased, leaving them with nowhere to go. While cleaning kennels, staff noticed they would always curl up and sleep together outside. We snapped a quick photo, sent it to Dede’s Angels, and with no hesitation they confirmed them and scheduled pickup. Thank you so much for your quick response and for keeping these babies together.

Thank you to all of these amazing rescue partners and for the second chances you’re giving these deserving dogs. We truly couldn’t do this without you! 💛

This week we want to give a huge thank you to some wonderful rescue partners who stepped up for animals that truly needed it!

Pets With Disabilities took in our two shepherd friends, Harold and Griffin. They came in from a seizure case and were in rough shape. While we didn’t think they would end up going to the same place, Pets With Disabilities made that possible. Thank you for keeping these boys together and giving them the fresh start they deserve!

Ashley was graciously scooped up by our friends at Noble Dog Hotel. She had been waiting for 23 days, and for a small dog that can feel like a very long time! We’re so happy to see her now having a great time and enjoying life.

Our friend Wookie was rescued by Passion 4 Paws! He was having a hard time getting adopted despite multiple adoption appointments, so we are thrilled to see him finally get the happy ending he deserved.

Dede’s Angels stepped up for two dogs off the urgent list this week — Tina Jay and Muttilda. Both started out as behavior dogs, and now they’re off to brighter, better days. Thank you for believing in them!

We also had an URGENT case of four small shepherd puppies being dropped off at our already full shelter. They could not go back, and when we asked Gracie Acres if there was any chance they could pick them up by 4:30, they confirmed within 30 minutes and were already on the way. We are beyond grateful for that kind of lifesaving response!

We truly couldn’t do this without amazing partners like you. Thank you for helping us save lives and giving these animals a second chance! 💛

Another week, another group of incredible partners to thank for stepping up in a BIG way!

Audra’s Parvo Rescue pulled our 3 (LARGE!) puppies with parvo who needed out ASAP. We are so thankful for Audra always being there for these cases — we seriously need more of her!

Carolina Loving Hound Rescue graciously pulled Saint — thank you for giving him his chance!

Dede’s Angels gave our sweet 15-year-old girl Muffin a comfortable place to spend the rest of her life despite her medical needs. That kind of compassion means everything.

Chow Charmer scooped up Shiloh, one of our favorites who struggled in the shelter but showed her true, sweet self once outside. We’re so happy you saw what we saw!

Always Room for One More pulled our big boy Verner — a 113 lb Great Dane who just needed the right place to land.

Second Hand Sanctuary came through for our “farm crew” — Dolly and Daisy the pigs, and Phillip the goat! If you’d like to support their care, please check them out — they do amazing work.

Knuckles, our sweet medical boy, was jointly pulled by Barker Rescue Project and Comfort Cats, who are working together to meet his needs.

And last but not least, our senior kitty Lucky sure lived up to his name — he was pulled by Mickey and Mouse Project!

Thank you to all of these amazing partners for helping us save lives and giving these animals the futures they deserve. We truly couldn’t do it without you! 💛

This week we have so many amazing partners to thank for stepping up for our urgent and special cases!

Passion 4 Paws pulled 6 dogs this week — including 3 off our urgent list: Esme, Manfred, and Zuri! They also took Mazda, Strawberry, and Money. We are so grateful for you stepping up in such a big way!

Lovable Mutts pulled Cobra Kai off the urgent list, who wasn’t the best fit for the shelter environment due to his leash skills (or lack thereof 😅). Thank you for giving him the chance he needed!

Carolina Boxer Rescue saved Jack Skellington, a sweet, laid-back senior who was also on the urgent list. We’re so happy he gets to enjoy the good life!

Dog Squad stepped up immediately for Bert, a huge, beautiful, sweet boy who had been shot in the leg and needed out urgently. They picked him up within the hour — truly incredible.

Comfort Cats took in Jigsaw, a long length-of-stay kitty who had eye surgery here and kept getting overlooked, even though he would reach out with his paw to get your attention. He was also urgent, and we’re so thankful they saw his potential!

And last but not least, Day Before the Rainbow came through for our “miscellaneous” animals — Kevin the rooster and a guinea pig! We love seeing all animals get the help they need.

We are so grateful for each and every one of you. You bring us so much joy and help us save some of our favorite animals — we truly couldn’t do it without you! 💛

We’re so grateful for these amazing partners who stepped up for some very special dogs this week!

Passion 4 Paws came through in a big way by pulling our staff favorite girl, Nova. She had BIG feelings with animal control but showed us a completely different side of her here at the shelter — and Passion 4 Paws saw that too. She’s officially on to bigger and better things! They also pulled Manfred, a sweet boy with a wound that needs daily bandage changes. Thank you for stepping up for both of them!

Greenville Humane Society helped us out by pulling Max, who had been with us for 57 DAYS! This big lover boy was such a staff favorite, and we’re so happy to see him get his chance. They also took Starla, another large dog, helping us make even more space.

Gracie Acres stepped up for our two scaredy cat boys, Seltzer and Pretzel! These shy boys needed a chance to decompress, and we’re so thankful they’ll get that opportunity.

Have a Puppers Day pulled another staff favorite, Bo. This sweet soul came in emaciated and had some behavior challenges around food, but they saw his potential and gave him the chance he deserved.

Thank you to all of these incredible partners for believing in these animals and giving them the fresh starts they’ve been waiting for. 💛

We’d love to thank some incredible rescue partners this week who truly stepped up when it mattered most.

Comfort Cats came through in a big way for Mango. His situation began on Friday when he started experiencing urinary blockages, and they stepped in and pulled him on Saturday to save his life. Now Mango is living his best life with plenty of dog and cat friends — exactly what he deserves!

South Carolina Community Cat Project also helped by pulling Sushi, a beautiful cat who needed extensive medical care. Thank you for always being there for our kitties in need.

Gracie Acres graciously pulled Bleu, a sweet boy who had been with us for 67 days. We’re so happy to see him finally get his chance!

Jesse’s Place also stepped up for Boen, another long length-of-stay dog who waited 67 days before getting his fresh start.

And last but certainly not least, Rescue Dogs Rock took in Dancer, a sweet senior who was found collapsed on the side of the road and brought to the shelter. Due to medical needs, he needed out urgently, and they didn’t hesitate to help.

Thank you to all of our amazing rescue partners for everything you do for us and for the animals you save. We are so grateful for each and every one of you! 💛

This week was a BIG one, and we are so incredibly grateful for the many rescue partners who stepped up. Not every dog is shown in the collage because there were just so many, but each of these groups made a huge impact!

Final Victory pulled Oscar and 4 others from the hoarding case.

Small But Mighty pulled Fox and 9 others from the case — and a special shoutout for choosing Pufferfish when no one else did. 💛

Simply Grace pulled Sloth and 5 others from the case.

Dede’s Angels pulled Jacey and 2 others.

Greenville Humane Society pulled Dog 3 and 5 others from the case, plus our mom Blossom and her 6 puppies!

Labor of Love pulled Bambi and 2 others from the case.

Day Before the Rainbow pulled Echo and 2 others from the case, and also helped us separately with a group of abandoned animals!

Second Hand Sanctuary stepped up for our urgent pig cases, Ophelia and Hamlett!

Carmen’s Rescue pulled our sweet girl Walrus, a staff favorite with medical needs and a long length of stay.

Jasper’s Legacy pulled Ruby, another long length of stay dog with medical needs, and 3 more from the hoarding case.

Gracie Acres pulled Ansel, our sweet scared boy, helped two bonded chis leave together, and took in our medical skin puppy Skittles!

To all of our partners — thank you for showing up in such a big way. We truly couldn’t do this without you. 💛

We have some wonderful rescue partners to thank this week for stepping up for animals that truly needed it.

Greenville Humane Society helped us in a huge way by taking not 1, not 2, but 3 ringworm kittens that needed out ASAP. On top of that, they also pulled our mom dog Blossom and her 6 puppies after we had been trying to place them with no interest. We are incredibly grateful for your help!

Next, Labor of Love stepped up for our sweet Odin. He came in with wounds to his face and skull fractures from a reported hit by car and had been here for 36 days with no interest. Thank you for giving this boy the chance he deserves.

Lastly, we are so thankful for our friends at Happy Tails 2 You, who pulled our big boy Hank. He’s been dealt an unfortunate hand so far, but Happy Tails 2 You came to his rescue and gave him the fresh start he needed.

Thank you to all of our rescue partners and for everything you do behind the scenes to help these animals get their second chance. 💛

This week we are feeling incredibly grateful for three amazing rescue partners who stepped up and made a life-changing difference.

First, we want to warmly welcome and thank Cat Garage Rescue, a brand-new partner for us! They graciously pulled two of our urgent cats, Cupcake and Keva, who both had “spicy” behavior and were unable to be placed on the adoption floor. These girls needed experienced handling and a safe space to decompress—and Cat Garage Rescue did not hesitate to say yes. Knowing they are now safe, understood, and given the time they need means so much to our team. We are truly thankful and hope this is just the beginning of a wonderful partnership.

Next, a big thank you to Greenville Humane Society for seeing the potential in Geo. When Geo first entered the shelter, he was very nervous and unsure. But with time, he began to show us his goofy, upbeat personality that was hiding just beneath the surface. We are so happy he now gets a fresh start and the opportunity to continue blossoming with GHS.

Last, but certainly not least, we want to thank Rescue Dogs Rock. They always seem to come through when we are in a pinch. This time, they stepped up for Gipple, who arrived to us from the ER with multiple severe gashes, likely from some kind of attack. He had clearly been through so much. Thanks to Rescue Dogs Rock, Gipple now has a second chance and is on the mend surrounded by the care he deserves.

To all three of these incredible partners—thank you for standing with us and helping save lives. We truly could not do this work without you. 💙
