You can see here, cats walk on their toes. When a cat is declawed it’s an amputation to the first joint. Basically, the toes are amputated. This changes the way a cat walks and over time causes arthritis to multiple areas of the cat's body. Declawed cats often avoid the litter box because of pain in the feet and arthritis in the body. Please do not declaw your cat - it can cause serious health problems during their lifetime, and there are many solutions to discourage scratching on furniture.
If this is something that you are considering , perhaps you should get a gold fish instead.

We’re still casting for the upcoming job in St Louis!
As a reminder, it’s a 3 day project filming March 4-6. If your animal is selected and travels with you to set, pay is $1500 plus mileage and lodging. If your animal travels with our team, pay is $1350.
We are looking for animals who are friendly with strangers and comfortable in new environments who meet the following criteria:
🐶 Overweight dachshunds and labs over 7 years old.
😺 blue or gray cats over 7 years old who are normal to overweight.
😺Orange or brown tabby cats who are 7 years old and overweight.
We are extending your deadline until noon tomorrow, but please don’t wait to get your submissions in!
