REFUNDABLE Surgery deposit $50
Cats/kittens are $60.00
Dogs/puppies $85.00
Adoption fees include the pets spay/neuter, flea/worming medicine, microchip, first year vaccines and rabies vaccine. The shelter will no longer pay for the following items. Owners will be required to pay the extra surgery cost at the time of pick-up for their animals.

A few reminders to the public:

1. We ask that you please watch your dog when it is outside, especially if it is a purebred. We have had an incident with a missing pet that was found quite a distance from Decatur County, the dog had been stolen and had been posted for sale on Craigslist. Help us help keep your pets safe.

2. Please think twice before using sites such as Craigslist to re-home your pet. As sad as it is, people use free pets from these sights as bait dogs in order to train their fighting dogs. Please consider using a local shelter, humane society, or rescue as a safe alternative to re-home your pet. Please contact your local shelter with any questions.

Reminder, the shelter will be CLOSED today for our Adoption Event at Feeders Pet Supply in Greensburg. It starts at 11!!! We have discounted prices and same day adoptions. Come see us there today to find your next furry friend.

The GDCAS would like to thank the Greensburg - Decatur County Public Library for hosting our adoption event last Saturday. It was an amazing turnout and such a fun location. We had 10 adoptions, 6 cats and 4 dogs.

Dogs: Reuban, Domino, Fern, Ridge
Cats: Citrus, Congo, Doorbell, Wasabi, Falcon, Honey

We look forward to doing this again in the future. Thanks to everyone who volunteered before and after the event. Thanks to everyone who came out for this amazing day.

Our next adoption event is THIS SATURDAY, at Feeders Pet Supply in Greensburg from 11 till 3 and we still have many amazing animals needing homes.

Good afternoon! The shelter is in need of any type of dog treat that isn’t milkbones. We still love milkbones, don’t worry! The dogs have just been eating the milkbones so long that they’ve stopped eating them 😔 We like to give treats out every day! Any donations are very much appreciated by our fur babies!!

This is Flint! Flint is a male mixed breed puppy who is 9 weeks old. We do not know his breed and we do not know how big he will get. He has received his first round of vaccines and flea/worm treatment. A microchip and heartworm tested are also included in his adoption. He is good with dogs, cats and kids. He isn’t potty trained yet and he’s still learning to walk on the leash. Come see Flint!

We offer companion animals for adoption. Cats are $75.00 Puppies up to 6 months are $125 Dogs 6 months and over are $100.00
