Are you able to help the shelter at noon today? 💪🏻

🌟VOLUNTEERS NEEDED🌟

We are in need of 4-5 volunteers to help us with a larger project. This will include heavy lifting (up to 50lb dog food bags), cleaning and working outside. Ideally, we are looking for volunteers who are familiar with manual labor and don't mind being a little sweaty/dirty. Breaks are allowed. This will start at 12 and run until the project is finished. Please let us know if you can help!

We wanted to share something special that we received about a week ago.

A generous donation was made by a local resident in honor of his nephew's marriage. The donation was given to celebrate the marriage of Christopher Hockaden and Dr. Renu Ramesh.

The animal shelter is currently pausing cat adoptions and intakes due to a contagious Calicivirus issue. The staff is working diligently on treating the cats and kittens effected, as well as deep cleaning their area of the shelter.

One big part of that cleaning is ensuring separate litter scoops are used in each litter box. The shelter is requesting 15-20 metal litter scoops like the one pictured from their Amazon wishlist. These scoops can be washed and sanitized and reused better than plastic ones.

Not at a point to adopt but still want to help the shelter?

Fostering is the perfect solution! It gets a pet out of the shelter and you get to be the person to learn all about that pet, which helps them get adopted faster! That’s a win-win! 🐶🐱🐾

June just so happens to be National Foster A Shelter Pet Month! Mario by the shelter today between 11:00-2:00 and find your foster friend!

Have you found yourself with some free time this summer? Does the company you work for encourage community service?

We have a suggestion! Volunteer at the shelter! See the flyer below for time slots.

Tasks include: cleaning cat kennels/cat room, walking dogs, laundry, dishes, organizing donations, general cleaning, breaking down empty boxes for recycling, taking out trash, etc.

There’s always lots to do and the shelter staff is so grateful for the extra hands! 🐱🐶🐾
