🌺🐈 Cat owners, beware of lilies! These plants can cause kidney failure in cats and are less dangerous to dogs but can still cause stomach issues.

👀 All parts of the plant are believed to be toxic if ingested, and prompt veterinary attention is necessary. If you suspect your pet has come into contact with lilies, don't wait for symptoms to appear—contact your vet right away.

👩‍⚕️ Keep your furry friends safe by being informed and taking action when needed.

In the UK, a clever parrot named Rocco stunned his owner by using an Alexa speaker to order snacks like chips and cookies from Amazon! The bird perfectly mimicked human speech to place voice orders, leading to surprise deliveries. Once the owner realized what was happening, they disconnected the device to prevent more purchases.

Like father, like son! Meet Roger, the 7 year old Chihuahua, and his owner Matt, who have matching jean vests…..well, almost! Roger's vest has little paw prints on the back, so Matt put human hand prints on his own "so he can tell them apart" 😂! We love it!

Does your pup ever seem like they're not quite getting what you're saying? 🤔

Communication with dogs is more than just words! Try using your body language to speak to your furry friend. Approach them with your body angled away and avoid reaching out. Instead, let them come to you when they're ready, and keep your body relaxed and calm. These calming signals will show your pup that you're listening and help them feel safe and understood. 🐶🐾

😺 While cats are atypical hosts for heartworms, they can still cause significant health problems.

Heartworm larvae typically don't mature into adulthood in cats, but the cat's immune system responds by creating a strong inflammatory response. This causes lung disease, called heartworm-associated respiratory disease (HARD), which can result in signs including coughing, increased respiratory effort, and vomiting that resemble feline asthma. 🚨

Providing year-round heartworm prevention is an important part of your pet’s health care plan. If you would like to discuss the various preventives, contact our team by calling 414-282-5230, so we can determine what protocol would best fit you and your pet’s lifestyle.
