Lepto: Let’s Talk About It! 🐾

Leptospirosis or “Lepto” is a bacterial disease spread through the urine of infected animals. The bacteria can contaminate puddles, ponds, standing water, and wet soil where dogs may be exposed.

And it isn’t only a concern for rural or adventurous dogs! Rodents, raccoons, and other wildlife can bring Lepto into suburban yards and neighborhoods, too.

Lepto can cause serious damage to a dog’s kidneys and liver and it can also affect people. Vaccination can help protect your dog, and Lepto is now considered a core vaccine for dogs.

Before the concrete was finished, members of our team added their initials, officially making our mark on the new space.
