🌈 In Loving Memory of Tommy
Hi Angels, Tommy had been with me since he was a young puppy. Back then I was still learning, still making mistakes. One of those mistakes was not being there on transport night when all his friends were picked up and adopted. That night changed him. He became terrified of being left, terrified of being alone.
But slowly, over years of patience, love, and tons of help from my incredible dog family — Dylan, Trixie, Angel, Champion and Mr. Phelps — Tommy healed. He learned to feel safe again and smiled all the time. He became my “dog tester,” my video partner and my gentle soul who helped socialize puppies and welcome scared dogs. He played and cuddled with them so they’d feel safe.
Tommy wasn’t just my dog; he was one of my partners in rescue. For 13 years he worked beside me, helping me show hundreds of animals that people can be good, that the world can be kind.
After a long fight with a lung tumor, neurological trouble in his back legs and too many hard days, Tommy crossed the rainbow bridge. He was at home, in the yard he loved, with me beside him.
He was a remarkable dog. He gave and received love deeply. I could never have done what I’ve done without him.
Please hold him in your hearts with me as you watch this video of his life — from playful puppy to the “Cranky Door Monitor😄” who helped so many.
Run free, sweet Tommy. You will always be my happy boy. 🐾💛
Much love to all,
Diane
