⭐️Meet Kira — Her Foster Gives Her 5 Stars! ⭐️

Kira has spent the last month in foster care, which has given us the opportunity to learn a LOT more about who she really is outside of the shelter — and her foster mom, who is very experienced with animals, gives this girl a 5-star review! ❤️

Kira is approximately 4 years old and 54 pounds, and underneath that tough-girl exterior is a very sweet, fun dog.

Her foster family has learned that Kira:

🐾 Walks on a leash
💦 LOVES playing in the water
🚗 Enjoys riding in the vehicle
❤️ Is affectionate and very sweet
✅ Has been spayed
✅ Has been microchipped

There is one important thing Kira’s future family needs to know. Kira should NOT go to a home with chickens, cats, or other small animals. She killed a chicken while in foster care and actively chases cats, so for everyone’s safety we are looking for a home where she will not have access to them.

Kira is also a strong girl. She isn’t necessarily difficult on a leash, but if she becomes interested in something, her adopter needs to be physically capable of safely handling and redirecting a powerful 54-pound dog. She probably would not be the best match for someone with limited strength or mobility.

Other than those considerations, her foster describes her as an exceptionally sweet dog who has been wonderful to have around.

❤️ Kira is currently available for PRE-ADOPTION. She was recently spayed and needs to remain under medical for a short time.

We have some VERY happy news to share — **Brownie AND Milo were both adopted this week!** ❤️🏡

Two sweet pups.

Brownie is officially trading shelter life for the comforts of home, and little Milo is off to begin his own happily-ever-after too!

We partner with this great organization!!! In fact, they donated a new computer to the shelter which was much needed! They do amazing things!!!!!
