🍂🐾 Do you know the signs of possible poisoning in your pet?

🚨 Keep an eye out for:
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Lethargy or weakness
• Trouble breathing
• Seizures or tremors
• Excessive drooling
• Loss of appetite
• Unusual behavior

If you think your pet may have been exposed to something toxic, contact your veterinarian or ASPCA Animal Poison Control at (888) 426-4435 for guidance.

🍂🐾 Fall is here—and so are some seasonal pet hazards!

If your pet may have eaten, licked, inhaled, or been exposed to something potentially toxic, don’t wait for symptoms to appear. Some toxins can cause delayed effects, even when your pet seems completely normal.

🍄 Wild mushrooms
🐭 Rodenticides
🚗 Antifreeze
🌿 Toxic plants
💊 Human & pet medications

When in doubt, contact your veterinarian or ASPCA Animal Poison Control at (888) 426-4435, available 24/7.

🚨 If your pet is having trouble breathing, experiencing seizures, is unconscious/unresponsive, bleeding, or showing severe symptoms, seek emergency veterinary care immediately.

🍂🐾 Fall pet safety starts with knowing what’s in your yard!

A few simple steps can make a big difference:
✔️ Know what plants you have
✔️ Keep potentially toxic plants out of reach
✔️ Check new plants before bringing them home
✔️ Clean up fallen leaves, seeds, and plant debris
✔️ If your pet eats something concerning, contact your veterinarian right away

🐶🐱 When it comes to our pets, it’s always better to be safe than sorry.

🍂🌿 Fall is here—and so are some plants that can be dangerous for our pets! 🐾

Those beautiful seasonal plants can add the perfect touch to your porch or home, but some can be toxic if your pet decides to take a bite. 🌱

🚨 Keep an eye out for plants like mums, lilies, sago palms, autumn crocus, ornamental kale, and castor bean.

If you think your pet has eaten a potentially toxic plant, don’t wait for symptoms to appear. Contact your veterinarian or an emergency pet poison hotline right away.

🐶🐱 A little prevention goes a long way toward keeping your pets safe this fall!

🐾 Sugar-free doesn’t mean pet-safe! 🚨

It’s easy to assume that if something is safe for us, it’s safe for our pets—but that’s not always the case. Products containing xylitol can be extremely dangerous to dogs, even in small amounts.

A few simple habits can help keep curious paws safe:
✔️ Read ingredient labels
✔️ Keep sugar-free products out of reach
✔️ Toss gum, candy, and wrappers in a secure trash can
✔️ If your pet gets into something containing xylitol, contact your veterinarian immediately

💙 When in doubt, throw it out. Your pet’s safety is worth it!

🚨 Sugar-free doesn’t always mean pet-safe! 🐾

Some sugar-free products can contain xylitol, an ingredient that can be extremely dangerous—especially for dogs. It can cause a rapid drop in blood sugar and, in serious cases, seizures or liver failure.

Xylitol can hide in products you may not expect, including gum, candy, baked goods, some nut butters, supplements, toothpaste, and more.

💡 Always check the ingredient label before sharing human foods with your pet.

If you think your pet may have ingested something containing xylitol, contact your veterinarian or an emergency veterinary clinic right away.

A quick label check could make all the difference. ❤️🐶

🎃🐾 Keep the spooky fun… and skip the emergency!

Halloween can be an exciting (and sometimes stressful!) time for our pets. From candy and decorations to the constant doorbell ringing, there are plenty of things to keep an eye on. 👻

A few simple precautions can make all the difference:
🍬 Keep candy out of reach
🎃 Be mindful of decorations
🐾 Skip the human treats
🚪 Keep doors secure
💚 Watch for signs of stress

Let’s keep our four-legged friends safe, happy, and comfortable while we enjoy all the Halloween fun! 🐶🐱🎃

🎃👻 It’s officially that time of year! 🍬🐾

Halloween is right around the corner, which means costumes, trick-or-treaters, and LOTS of candy! While those sweet treats are fun for us, they can be dangerous for our furry friends. 🐶🐱

🍫 Chocolate
🍬 Xylitol
🍇 Raisins & grapes
🥜 Certain nuts
🍭 Candy wrappers

Keep the candy bowl out of paw’s reach and remind little ones (and guests!) not to share their treats with your pets.

A little prevention can go a long way toward keeping your pets safe this Halloween! 🧡🐾
