Hermitage Farm - Testament to the Times

Nestled in the rolling hills of Oldham County lies a 90-year-old, 700-acre Thoroughbred nursery. Hermitage Farm has been a working farm for nearly two centuries and is the Home of Champions.

Today, broodmares, foals, and yearlings graze the land that has long been recognized as some of the more fertile and productive in Kentucky. Past Thoroughbreds foaled and raised at Hermitage include Kentucky Derby winner DARK STAR, as well as winners of the Kentucky Oaks and Breeders’ Cup, and more than 200 stakes winners, including 2017 Eclipse Champion 3YO Male and $5 million earner WEST COAST and 2019 Eclipse Champion Sprinter MITOLE.

Employing experienced veterinarians and quality staff, Hermitage offers year-round, full-service boarding, foaling and mare care, sales preparation and representation, layup and post-operative services. The farm’s legacy stands as tribute to the land, the horses, and the people who are HERMITAGE FARM.
