🐎There will be another new addition to the Therapy team joining our herd very soon! Miss McKenna has been training him off site the last couple of weeks getting most of his ground work done before we move him to the farm to start the real training.

🌞Monday June 8th 9:30am-1:30pm
🌞Tuesday June 9th 9:30am-1:30pm

Wednesday June 10th -BREAK

🌞Thursday June 11th 9:30am-1:30pm
🌞Friday June 12th 9:30am-1:30pm

Activities will include daily care of the horses and horsemanship activities, horseback riding, crafts, and games! More information will be sent out with the registration packets with kids who sign up. Space is limited.

💲The cost is $400.

💥It was another good day for Mr. Jester in the lesson rotation! He is building up his stamina, getting used to doing more than one a day and is handling it well. Also he got to move to the bigger "arena" for the first time with a student and was such a good boy.

💫He has been out there several times with myself as his trainer, but yesterday he was put with one of my students who has been with me since the day I opened. Sean has turned into an amazing horseman! They made a great team!

🐎Jester had his first independent lesson this week and did great! We are starting him off with our more advanced independent riders first to help him get use to our routine and the way we do things around here. He handled the change very well!

🌞J was use to being a trail horse in his previous role so he let me know that the arena is kind of boring haha. Most trail horses do get a little bored in the arena at first, but since we do mix it up by using obstacles, playing games, and doing pattern work, they start to enjoyed it more!

💙This week he will start his more intense Therapeutic Riding training. This will involve me flopping around on him ba****ck while someone leads him, changing positions on him, reaching for objects and tossing objects off of him. I have already introduced most of these things on the ground and he has done wonderful. I have a feeling he will do just fine 🙂. He is such a sweet and kind soul.

🐴JESTER UPDATE🐴

This guy is everything we expected him to be! He's calm, he's cool, he's gentle, he's sweet, and just an over all fun guy to be on and around!

He has taken his therapy training so well, and settled into our Parelli Program training with ease. This week will be his first official week in the program rotation! I am so excited to have this guy on our team! 🩷

🐴NEW HORSE🐴

There's a new face in the barn this week! We are SO EXCITED about this guy! Everyone meet Jester! This guy is special. Not only is he beautiful, but he has all the qualities needed to be a great Program horse. He has an extensive resume that includes trail riding, parades, being loved on by kids, and he even has some pretty fancy buttons I was able to unlock after a little bit of time playing with him. Oh, and he is just a super sweet guy!

He is a 13 year old registered paint, and he's a pretty stout boy. Within a day, he was settled and I was able to get right to work with his program training and he figured out within minutes what I was asking. Hes super smart, so it won't take much time at all to get him in the rotation. He got to hang out in his stall yesterday during lessons and met lots of clients and really enjoyed all of the attention! We want to thank everyone that was involved in making this happen! We are very lucky to have him in our program! Stay tuned for more progress updates and videos on our new guy!

💓THANK YOU💓

We want to thank the family and friends of Mr. John Jones for all of the recent donations made to Equility in his memory. We are so appreciative for all of the support! Also to the Jones family for requesting that donations be made to our program in lieu of flowers to honor Mr. Jones, who was a huge supporter and believer in our program.

Mr. Jones is the husband of Mrs. Sherry Jones. They have been married for 54 years! Many of you know Sherry. She has been a long time friend and volunteer in the program for several years now. The horses and clients adore Sherry, and Sherry adores them right back. She is a vital piece in the work we do here and we are so thankful that John allowed us to steal her every week and keep her at the barn for hours on end! 🤣

John is dearly missed, but his memory lives on and we will continue to honor him, and take good care of Sherry for him💞.

✨ Expanding Our Herd! ✨

We are thrilled to announce that we are beginning the search to add a wonderful new equine partner to our herd!

We are looking for a special horse who is ready to be a safe, reliable mount for our Therapeutic Riding Program.

🐴 Our Ideal Horse:

❤️Age: Ideally between 8 and 15 years old. (We may consider slightly younger or older horses if they meet all other criteria.)

🩷Experience: Previous experience in trail riding, therapy, lessons, or similar quiet work is highly preferred.

💙Training: Non-gaited, capable of walking, trotting, and light cantering.

💜Health & Maintenance: Must be sound and healthy with no lameness issues and little to no health issues.

🧡Size: Stocky build, height between 13 and 15 hands. Draft cross would be a big plus!

💚Temperament: A true "babysitter" type! Must not be buddy or barn sour, quiet, safe, and trustworthy with riders of all abilities. Gelding is preferred.

💛I don't mind something that needs fine tuning or a little touch up in ground manners or even mild fine tuning under saddle as long as it has most of what we are looking for.
