Summer heat can be tough on our furry friends. Here’s how to help them stay cool, safe, and comfortable:

🔥Be Ready for the Heat:

•Always provide plenty of fresh water and shade when they’re outdoors 🌿

🏠 At-Home Comfort:

•Create cool spots for your pet inside to help them beat the heat ❄️☀️

‼️Learn the signs of heat stress:

•Excessive panting, drooling, and unsteady movements.
*If you notice these, get your pet to the vet fast! 🚨

🚶‍♀️ Exercise Smart:

•Never leave your pet in a parked car—even with the windows cracked. It heats up quickly, even on mild days! 🚗🔥

•Walk or run during cooler parts of the day, and avoid hot pavements that can burn their paws 🐾

As we celebrate another year of providing compassionate care, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt thanks to all of our wonderful clients. Your trust and support have made this journey possible, and we are truly grateful for the opportunity to care for your beloved pets.

In light of the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles, we’d like to offer some helpful tips for ensuring the safety of both you and your pets during a disaster. Whether it’s a natural disaster, an evacuation, or any other emergency, microchipping your pets is one of the most effective ways to reunite with them if their collars or identification tags are lost in the chaos. It’s essential to keep your contact information associated with the chip up to date to ensure you’re reachable if needed.

Transporting pets during emergencies can be stressful, so having leashes, harnesses, carriers, and kennels ready to go can make the process smoother. It’s also a good idea to have enough food, water, and any necessary medications on hand for your pets to help them stay comfortable and healthy.

Above all, we want to ensure that you and your pets remain safe and together during these difficult times. Please take these precautions into consideration as you prepare for any emergency situation.

To prepare you and your pets for the 🇺🇸Fourth Of July Celebrations🇺🇸, we want to give you some reminders to keep them safe. Especially during those scary, yet beautiful, fireworks 🎆

• Microchips! Is your pet microchipped? If so please make sure your contact information is updated. If you want your pet microchipped you can contact your vet office OR if you live in the Santa Barbara area, is offering FREE microchipping service now through 7/3/24 by appointment only!

• If microchipping isn’t for you, make sure the ID tags on your pet’s collar has your updated information.

• If you know your pet gets anxious during this time please contact your local vet as soon as possible for an appointment to talk about your options for anxiety medications.

• Having guests over? Please make sure you alert them that you have pets in the household and to keep an eye out on them to make sure they do not wander off your property.

• If you will be gone OR if your pet does best away from the party, ensure they have a safe comfy place to hangout in the meantime

• Make sure ALL EXITS are secure in your home - such as windows, gates and doors!
