Hooray for our friends at Mountain Dog Pet Supply!

Most importantly, Mtn Dog helped restock our community pet pantry. This means local families with dogs and cats have access to free pet food- give us a call if you or someone you know could use food or supplies.

They also have a very cool local pet store in Glenwood, and donated pet swag for our Strawberry Days raffle- be sure to come check out our booth this weekend and enter for a chance to win!

And finally, if you're wondering who this extra cute Husky lady is, it's Spirit! She arrived as a stray to C.A.R.E. and is now looking for a new family to welcome her home.

The Strawberry Days Festival kicks off today and C.A.R.E. is SO excited to spend the weekend at Two Rivers Park celebrating one of Glenwood Springs' favorite traditions!

Stop by our booth to learn more about our programs, enter our raffle for a dog or cat goodie bag (shoutout to our friends at Mountain Dog Pet Supply for donating the most supreme prize packages!), and let the kids create a masterpiece to take home.

A huge thank you to Alpine Bank for sharing their nonprofit booth space and helping us connect with our community all weekend long. 💚

Izzie’s stuffie pile is her happy place, safe space, and she loves showing them off! She might even piddle on your shoe in sheer excitement.

Besides being over the top for toys, Isabella is learning the joy of wiggle walks and big belly pets, with a hind end that can’t hide her happiness. Kids and other dogs also seem fun, as long as they’re not too unruly.

We’re eager to see life change for the better for our 4-year-old shelter dog (sadly her start didn’t sound like the best). Don’t miss out, and give this girl a home ❤

These awesome (and very smart) young ladies recently held a bake sale, raising over $500 for their local animal shelter! 🎉

Meet our delicious cookies, Oreo and Thin Mint 🍪🐾

Oreo is the bolder and more adventurous of the cookies, and can be found making his rounds in the catroom or sunning his belly on the catio. Wherever Oreo goes, Thin Mint is usually close behind, acting as a trusty sidekick (and often they can be found side by side, snuggled up!).

After losing their housing, our besties would like another shot at staying together in a new home. It's a requirement ❤

We'd like to acknowledge Mellie, a new and already invaluable member of our volunteer team! Mellie has jumped into shelter pet support with both feet - she is a weekly recurring kennel cleaner, and also signs up to take our sweet pups out on extra fun walks! The staff and pets alike are always excited and grateful whenever Mellie comes through our doors.
