🩵 💚 Veterinary Technician Week Spotlight: Meet Tina Gasior! 🩵 💚

Tina joined our team at Hoffman Estates Animal Hospital in 2010. She has a heart of gold, loves every pet that walks through our doors, and has a special soft spot for Shih Tzus and Shepherds.

Tina became a veterinary technician to help pets live longer, healthier lives with their families. She loves educating clients on preventive and wellness care and helping them better understand their pets’ needs.

We’re so lucky to have Tina and all her fellow technicians as part of our Thrive community.

Leptospirosis is a serious bacterial infection in dogs that can cause kidney and liver failure. It’s spread through contact with infected urine or contaminated water and soil. Symptoms include fever, lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea and loss of appetite. Diagnosis often involves blood and urine tests. Leptospirosis is typically treated with antibiotics. Let’s make sure our pets are updated on the lepto vaccine and we are avoiding contaminated waters. Also, keep them away from wild rodents!
