Need some more fun in your life? Meet Stephen! This silly, 5-year-old boy is full of personality. He recently had a sleepover with one of his volunteer friends, and she left him a glowing review!

“Stephen was the best sleepover buddy! When I have him out at the shelter, he mostly keeps to himself and plays with toys on his own. At my house, he was glued to my side! He often brought his toys to me so we could play fetch or tug, and he was quite the snugglebug. It was a side of him that I hadn’t seen before! With frequent potty breaks, he didn’t have any accidents in the house, and he did very well in a crate with toys and enrichment. He was occasionally a bit mouthy while playing, but he was always easily redirected to toys. He is an amazing dog who is sure to bring his future family lots of smiles and laughter!”

Can you believe this handsome boy has been waiting at the shelter for over four months? If you are interested in fostering or adopting Stephen, just come to the shelter and tell staff that you would like to meet him!

Hiya, I’m Butter! I’ve been hanging out at the shelter for almost a year, and I love my friends here, but I miss being in a home. I’d love to get some playtime more than once a day! Some of my favorite activities include splashing in the pool, walks at the park, snuggling, wrestling with my doggy friends, running in the rain, and chasing after ALL THE TOYS. I’m not picky! Any type of toy will do. Do you think I might be a fit for your family? Please come meet me!

Butter is estimated to be 1 year, nine months old, and he weighs about 55 pounds. He is available for foster or adoption from Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter.

Today makes two years since Bae was surrendered to the shelter. He is currently enjoying a foster break with one of his volunteer handlers, but he needs to find a home of his own! Here is what his foster has to say:

“Bae is a very special dog who is looking for a very special home! He has been the most wonderful companion for me the past two weeks. He is very housebroken, he is not destructive when he’s left alone, and he’s fairly low energy. He spends most of the time on the bed or the couch snuggling, sleeping, or chewing on his toys. He is very social and affectionate with people he trusts! However, Bae does have a lot of fear and anxiety with new things/situations/people. It will likely take quite some time for him to be comfortable in a new place, and he needs an adopter who will go at his pace. Once he settles in, he will be the most loyal and loving dog you could ever ask for!”

Bae is 7 1/2 years old and weighs 45 pounds. He would likely do best in a low-traffic, adult-only home. He has had positive interactions with dogs at the shelter, but we always recommend doing a meet and greet with resident dogs to make sure it’s a good fit. Email [email protected] to schedule an appointment to meet him!

Today makes TWO YEARS since Diesel arrived at the shelter. He has had a few sleepovers with his volunteer friends, but he has never had a real foster break. We truly cannot fathom why no one has scooped this boy up! He is sweet, playful, and just wants to be loved. He is housetrained, crate trained, great in the car, and not reactive on walks. What more could you ask for? This handsome four-year-old pup has been in a kennel for half of his life, and all he wants is to spend the holidays in a home. Can you make his wish come true?

Interested in fostering or adopting Diesel? Just come to the shelter!

Meet Benji!

This 7-year-old sweetheart has been in-and-out of foster homes since June 2022, and he is so ready to finally find a family to call his own!

Benji is a cuddlebug and loves people. He might be a senior, but he is still full of energy! He loves to play, especially with squeaky toys and ropes. He is housebroken and rides great in the car! Benji is very food motivated and easy to train. He’s an incredibly loving and loyal companion!

Benji has lived with dogs in the past and has had kennel roommates at the shelter, but he can be particular about his doggy friends, so we highly recommend a meet and greet at the shelter. He would love a house with a yard to run around and play in!

Benji is available to foster or adopt from Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter in Georgetown, TX. He can’t wait to meet you!

Meet Diesel!

Diesel is 4 years old, and he has been at the shelter since November 2022. Diesel is well known at the shelter for being a toy connoisseur! Squeaky toys, tennis balls, and stuffies are his favorites to play with, but any kind of toy will do. He also adores car rides and cuddles!

Diesel recently had a sleepover with one of his volunteer handlers, and we learned that he appears to be mostly crate-trained and house-trained already! He relaxes so much when he is away from the shelter, and we know that he will be an incredible addition to any family. He would love a backyard to play fetch in and a couch to snuggle on!

Diesel has participated in playgroups with other dogs at the shelter, but he can be a toy thief, so we highly recommend a meet and greet with any resident dogs to make sure that they won’t have issues sharing. If you would like to meet Diesel, you can schedule an appointment by emailing [email protected] or just show up to the shelter! We are open every day from 12-6 p.m. We will see you at 1855 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626.
