Maverick has been with us for 3 weeks. He’s a super excitable puppy that had to learn the most basics and beyond. We are so happy with his growth. His continued success will improve as long as all the tools we have put in place are used. Follow ups with him will continue to ensure this happens.

This sums it up and the way that Trainer handled this was perfect.  He didn’t make it about her and her dog interrupting their training session. It was more about the fact that when you have your dog off leash and can’t recall it, you’re putting your dog at risk. Your dog might be fine with other dogs, but that doesn’t mean every other dog wants to be your dog’s friend. How do you think it would go if you walked up to random strangers and got in their face? Probably wouldn’t go so well for you! It doesn’t work for humans and it shouldn’t be allowed for your dog… especially with dogs you don’t know! It’s about the safety of the dogs not what you think your dog wants.
