The Mission of Mailman’s Mutts is:
To rescue abandoned and unwanted animals, provide proper medical care, and adopt them to loving homes while educating the community about the critical need of spaying and neutering their pets. To foster, develop and promote the elimination of animal cruelty and suffering; to facilitate placement of animals into appropriate environments through the adoption proces

s; to educate and encourage responsible pet ownership with emphasis on spaying/neutering to reduce overpopulation; to provide temporary safe shelter for animals in need; and overall, to demonstrate respect and kindness towards animals in, but not limited to, Etowah County. To do all things necessary and incident to promote the general social, benevolent, and charitable works of the corporation. To do all things and engage in all activities that fall within the scope of Internal Revenue Code §501(c), and within the scope of such rulings and regulations interpreting such code section.

🐈🐕Mailman’s Mutts and AL Spay & Neuter are offering FREE rabies vaccine and spay or neuter surgery for your pet during the month of May. This program is open to individuals that live in Etowah County and a member of your household must be currently enrolled in one or more government assistance programs. The program is limited to 3 pets per household. You can take your pet to their Irondale, AL location or reserve a spot on their transport for $10 for each pet. The scheduled transport for May is on Tuesday, May 19th at the Attalla Sports Complex. They will pick your pet up at 6:00am and return them the following day at 11:00am.

SB361, "BEAU'S LAW", The Alabama Dog Tethering and Outdoor Shelter Act IS AT RISK. READ WHAT YOU CAN DO!

This bill is so close to becoming law — but right now, it’s at risk.😡
To move forward and actually protect Alabama’s dogs, two things must happen:
➡️ It must pass through House Rules
➡️ The amendment must be removed
The original version of Beau’s Law is simple and necessary. It defines basic standards of care like shelter, food, water, and humane tethering, which Alabama has needed for decades.
😢But the last-minute amendment has created confusion, slowed the process, and could ultimately stop this bill from becoming law.
This is the moment that matters.
👨‍🦼⭐️⭐️If the amendment is removed and the original bill passes, it can go straight to the Governor’s desk. If not, it risks getting tied up — and time is not on our side.
📣 What you can do:
Call your House representatives.
Tell them: Pass Beau’s Law WITHOUT amendments.
This bill is not about politics.
It’s about basic protections.
It’s about doing what’s right.
