The 200 block of Broad St. is closed for work on a new pedestrian crossing. ⚠

Remember that businesses are still OPEN, as are sidewalks (with the exception of the sidewalk section closed in front of the new City Hall).

We expect the work to take around two weeks, dependent on weather.

We had a great time at Cones & Community with the Fire and Police Departments, Mayor Ford, and Councilwoman Latham. Thank you to everyone who showed up to enjoy some ice cream with our city leaders and learn about how they are here to serve you, every day. 😊🍦

Congratulations on your retirement, Iva!

After 42 incredible years with the City of Gadsden, Iva Nelson is officially beginning a well-earned new chapter. We’re so thankful for the time and heart she’s poured into her role as City Clerk over the years. Iva has always shown up with a commitment to serving both the city and its people, and that kind of dedication doesn’t go unnoticed.

While we’ll truly miss having her around, we’re just as excited for her as she steps into this next season. She’s more than earned it!
