Hi friends! My name is Walter, and I'm hoping someone out there will give me the chance to show them what a wonderful little companion I can be. 🥹

I'm approximately 2.5–3 years old, weigh around 10 pounds, and I'm a scruffy little Terrier mix with so much potential!

I came to the shelter from a hoarding situation, and honestly, the world can feel like a pretty scary place sometimes. I'm still learning that people can be kind, that gentle hands are safe, and that I don't have to be afraid of everything around me.

I'm looking for a very special home. Someone who understands that I may need time to warm up, someone who won't rush me, and someone who will celebrate the little milestones as I learn to trust.

I don't need perfection. I just need patience, kindness, and a safe place where I can finally feel at home. ❤️

💔 Three dogs. One heartbreaking loss. And a community that has the chance to change their story.

Joy, Carley, and Harley have lost the only home and person they knew after their owner tragically passed away. Now, through absolutely no fault of their own, these three girls are with our friends at City of Fredericksburg Animal Control & Shelter, waiting for someone to give them another chance.

When we saw their story, we knew we wanted to help. ❤️

Unfortunately, our kennels are completely full right now. As much as we wish we could bring them straight to our shelter, we simply don't have the space.

But that doesn't mean we can't help them. We just need YOUR help to make it happen.

If we can find foster homes willing to open their doors to these girls, we can step in and help them find the loving forever homes they deserve.

Imagine losing the person you've loved your entire life, the home you've always known, and suddenly finding yourself somewhere completely unfamiliar. These girls don't understand what happened or why their world has changed. All they know is that everything familiar is gone.

We can't bring their person back. We can't undo what happened. But together, we CAN make sure their story doesn't end in heartbreak.

We're looking for foster families who can provide a loving place for one or more of these girls while we work to find their forever homes or until we have space at the shelter.
