During bat blackout period, maternal bat colonies have to stay put temporarily while the babies grow and learn to fly.
That said, not every bat call means you’re waiting until the end of summer.
Single bats and bachelor colonies can often still be addressed during this time of year.
If you’ve noticed bats around the roofline at dusk or heard fluttering in the attic, call us for a free inspection and we can help you make a plan to remove them safely.

We're entering the Bat Blackout Period, so what does that mean for you? Read more about it on our blog!

In Virginia, bat blackout period is May 15 to August 15. Although bat exclusions cannot be performed, Summit Wildlife Removal can perform inspections and schedule bat removal services for when it's safe to do so.
