Here’s a little grooming PSA for my pet parents:

✨ Brushing only gets the surface.
When you don’t follow up with a comb, tangles form right at the base of hair shaft, close to the skin, even if the ends look fluffy and brushed out.

🖤 Visual example:
• In the first clip, even though the ends look brushed, you can see clumps forming near the root. That’s how mats sneak up on you!
• In the last clip, you’ll see what a properly brushed + combed coat looks like — hair separates from root to tip when blown with the dryer.
💡 Takeaway:
Brush first. Then comb. Every time.
A quick comb-through each day can save your dog (and your groomer!) from painful dematting sessions.

Milo did amazing for his very first salon visit! Bringing puppies in at a young age helps tremendously with setting them up for their future. We want grooms to be treated as normal, and a good thing, rather than coming in a couple times a year where it can be really scary, and some dogs see it as something negative.
