Hi y’all!! I made it to the Chicagoland area for the All American Grooming Expo today! I am out of office until Monday. I will be able to respond to messages here and there, mostly after classes get finished. I’m super excited to continue my education here and take home new knowledge to continue to grow as a pet groomer! 🐶🐾

Once I return, I’ll have a couple days back to work and then I’ll be leaving for vacation with my partner Joe and our family from August 27th until September 6th! I won’t be responding to messages until I return home, but it might take me a little longer than usual since I’m jumping right back into a full week. Thank you in advance for your patience!!! ☺️🫶🏻

💘ANNOUNCEMENT💘

Starting November 1st, I will no longer be accepting new mobile clients. My schedule has been growing to become a little overwhelming with little room for rebooking my regulars. I honestly wasn't sure when I'd ever reach this point, but I am so very thankful for each and every one of you and your pups for being the reason it has! 🐶🌟🐾

If you'd like to get on my books, you still have an opportunity to do so before the holiday season begins! I do have some requirements for NEW clients:
💟 50 lb weight restriction
💟 must live within Fort Wayne city limits
💟 weekday appointments available only
💟 must be maintained on a regular schedule (4-8 weeks recommended)

To schedule, you can go to my website to schedule online (new clients must submit intake forms for their pet(s) vet information) or text me! I do not have a receptionist or any extra help, so please give me some time to respond!

Now that I have an office/garage space, I am starting to get some bigger ideas of how I could use the space best. In the coming years, I may eventually expand and build out my office into a brick and mortar salon. But for right now, I am content with where I'm at and going to enjoy the wild ride! 😊

I can provide referrals for dogs I am unable to accommodate!

I am happy to announce that I am now a Certified Canine Esthetician! 😋🫶🏻🐶💞🧼

I completed my course and passed my exam! I am so happy I had the opportunity to continue my education in canine skin and coat health. I picked this course in particular because it focuses on ingredient components and the science of it all, rather than being geared towards a specific product line.

Continued education is so important to me. This summer I have a few other plans to continue highering my education. In July, I will be taking a hands-on standard poodle modern trim class with an amazing instructor. Then in August, I will be attending the All American Grooming Expo again to take a weekends worth of classes!

Some quick updates!

🐾 I am now enforcing a 50 lb weight restriction for NEW clients. My workload for big dogs has reached its limit and I need to listen to my body to protect the longevity of my career. Before the end of the year, I am anticipating not taking new clients all together.

🐾 I am also requiring my clients to maintain a proper grooming schedule for their dog(s)’ coat type. I highly recommend a 4-8 week schedule. Every dog is different so this may vary depending on coat type, age (e.g., senior dogs who get comfort grooms), and their specific needs. I will be unable to service pets not maintained on a regular schedule.

🐾 I am unable to provide full coat restorations (e.g., pelted shave downs, excessive impacted undercoat, etc) as it is very hard on my tools, body, and the pet in my care.

I can give a referral for a locally owned mobile grooming business for dogs I am unable to take on.

I’ll be working on updating my website and policies soon. I am also working on a canine esthetician course, so once I complete my certification I will get on top of these official updates. ☺️

Got the keys today and started moving some stuff in! I’m going to be working on things settled in here this weekend. I need to sit down and work on scheduling ASAP! I will be working on that this upcoming week! Tomorrow I’ll be moving my desk and the last of what I have from my “home office” (my crammed bedroom haha). I didn’t realize how many work items I had in my house until I started moving everything. The office is pretty empty right now, but it’s just perfect. 💞

Also got the generator serviced today and found a great new mechanic! 🙏🏻😇🐾

Here’s my good news!!!!! 😭💗🫶🏻🥰

I’ve finally found an adequate storage solution with everything I need plus more! Signed a three year lease! I am so over the moon and excited for how this change will improve how my business operates, as well as my day to day life. The garage is HEATED and has a floor drain. This is going to make winter so much more manageable and prevent the constant issues I was having with my unit in freezing temperatures. Reschedules will be less frequent, as long as my equipment permits! It was a long search for this!! And no more city street parking for me!!! My long-term goal is to purchase our forever home with room to build a garage on the property. My partner (Joe) and I are working towards that and I’m excited for that day to come, but it’s still a lot further in the future. This is going to help me tremendously and give me a stable, consistent foundation to provide the best possible care to your pet(s)!

Okay, I am deleting my last post about my generator!! Only my appointments for tomorrow will be affected now. Someone kindly gave me a contact for a private onan mechanic so I’ll be getting it fixed on May 1st in the morning instead!!! But I do also have good news soon:,)
