Paws of Love Animal Rescue AR

Paws of Love Animal Rescue AR We are a small foster based rescue located in the Fort Smith Arkansas area. We do not have a physical shelter location.

Our mission is to rescue homeless pets, assist pet owners in need to keep their pets home and to educate pet owners on the necessity of spaying and neutering to help curb the pet overpopulation crisis. All of our rescues go into foster homes where they are loved and learn what a home life is all about. We believe this helps give them the best chance at finding their forever home! To see all of our

‼️Foster needed!‼️

Sweet Magara was diagnosed with heartworms may of this year and has gone through most of her treatment but she has a couple months of preventative treatments left and then will need to be retested to see if she is negative and ready for adoption!

Her current foster is unfortunately likely to be moving soon and will not be able to take her along so she needs someone to take her in that will be able to give her the love she deserves until it’s time to find her forever family, or who knows her foster might just fall in love with her, if you would like to know more about Magara please send us a message :)

You can apply to foster this sweet girl through this link:

🚨 URGENT: FOSTERS NEEDED FOR 2 DUMPED DOGS 🚨

The dogs are located in Mountain Home and no other rescue in their area is able to help due to some urgent hoarding situations. They are dealing with there. We are located in Fort Smith, Arkansas and can transport them.

These two dogs were dumped in a rural area and desperately need somewhere safe to go. They have been killing chickens, and the livestock guardian dog on the property is understandably very unhappy about their presence.

⚠️ The situation is becoming dangerous. Neighbors have threatened to shoot the dogs if they continue killing chickens. We need to get them out of this area AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

🐾 Older dog: The finder believes he is a Heeler mix, approximately 1 year old. One photo shows him with his full black coat, and another was taken after he had to be shaved because of severe matting. He has been neutered.

🐾 Little red dog: Younger and believed to be a Lab mix.

If you do not have chickens or livestock and have a safe place where you could foster one of these dogs, please contact us. Even a temporary foster could literally save their lives.

🙏 Please share this post widely. We need safe fosters, and we need them quickly. These dogs deserve a chance before something tragic happens.

Update: covered!! Thank you, Tiffany!!

We don’t usually duplicate our posts, but we are going to have to here because we made a mistake and we still need help. We mistakenly listed needing help picking up a lab puppy in Little Rock. She is staying with the finder’s brother in Harrison and that’s where we need to pick her up from. She needs to be picked up tomorrow and brought to Pocola. Please message if you can help. We will provide gas money.

Update: another rescue has stepped in to take them. Thank you!

🚨 URGENT: Experienced Bottle Feeder Needed 🚨

We’ve been contacted about six very small kittens who were found alone inside a vacant house. No mom could be located, so the finder has brought the kittens to their home to keep them safe.

💔 One of the kittens appears to have a broken leg and will need medical attention.

All six kittens are extremely young and need to be bottle fed around the clock. Unfortunately, we cannot take these kittens into our care unless we have an experienced bottle feeder available to help.

If you have experience caring for neonatal kittens and can help with bottle feeding, please contact us as soon as possible.

These little ones need help urgently. 🐾❤️ Please share to help us find the experienced foster they need.

🐾 URGENT FOSTER NEEDED FOR GEORGIA & RED 🐾

We are located in Fort Smith, AR.

These may not be the greatest pictures, but these are great dogs who desperately need a chance.

Georgia (the black dog) weighs about 18 lbs and Red, her sister weighs about 25 lbs. They are 7 months old. We’re told they grew up in a crate with a third dog, so they haven’t had much opportunity to experience the normal, happy life that puppies deserve.

Georgia is doing well and is very friendly.
Red is much more timid and shy. She is slowly learning to trust people and will almost let you pet her — which is a huge step for this sweet girl. ❤️

They both need urgent foster homes. And they do NOT have to stay together. In fact, separate foster homes may give each of them the individual attention and confidence-building they need.

Red doesn’t need someone to “fix” her. She needs someone willing to be patient, give her space, and show her that people can be trusted. Georgia would likely thrive with a family ready to give her the love and attention she deserves.

If you can foster Georgia, Red, or even just share this post, please help. A safe foster home could completely change the course of these girls’ lives.

🐶 Georgia needs a foster.
🐶 Red needs a foster.
❤️ They both deserve a chance.

Please message me if you can help or know someone who can.

Covered!!

ROSIE NEEDS A SHORT-TERM FOSTER! 🐾

Rosie is located in Little Rock, Arkansas and our Rescue is located in Fort Smith Arkansas. We can transport.

We’re reposting sweet Rosie because she has been accepted for transport west, and she is scheduled to leave September 11! ❤️

But there’s a catch: before she can go, Rosie needs to receive all of her vaccinations and be spayed. Her owner recently lost their home, and Rosie is currently staying with a relative. She’s doing great with their dogs, but unfortunately, they cannot keep her—and they don’t have a vehicle to get her to the vet appointments she needs.

Rosie is located in Little Rock, which makes it difficult for us to help with transportation from here. What we desperately need is a short-term foster who can keep this sweet girl safe and loved until she is ready to leave on transport.

Rosie is a 6-month-old Lab mix and is doing well with other dogs. She just needs someone willing to open their home and heart for a little while. 🥹🐾

🙏 Can you foster Rosie until September 11? Even a short-term commitment could make all the difference for this girl.

If you have room in your heart and home for Rosie, please message us! And please share this post so we can find her foster family. ❤️

Located in Fort Smith, Arkansas, but can be transported.

As of today, this family is losing their home, and sadly, these two dogs are at risk of becoming homeless as well. 💔

One is a Pit Bull mix, and the other is a Chihuahua mix. Their owner has been desperately looking for help for over a month, but no one has stepped forward to offer them a safe place.

We are hoping to get better pictures of the dogs, but more importantly, we need help finding somewhere safe for them to go.

Unfortunately, we do not have a physical shelter and currently have no available foster homes, so we are unable to take them in ourselves. We hate knowing that they may have nowhere to go.

If you can foster, adopt, rescue, or even help connect these dogs with someone who can, please reach out. Sharing this post could also make all the difference.

These dogs deserve a safe place to land. Please help us get the word out. 🙏🐾

Update! Nova has a new forever home.

If anyone is looking for a smaller dog around 25 pounds fully grown. She’s a Doxy mix about 10 to 12 months old. She is spayed and micro chipped. She is good with dogs, cats and kids. She is house broke as well.
Likes to chase chickens, so no chickens near her.
She belongs to a couple of young boys who got her when they lived together, but now they are moving and neither are responsible enough to take her. A friend reached out and asked us if we knew anyone who might want to adopt her.

If you would like to foster to adopt her, please fill out the application below

There is something so exciting about getting to post a foster fail! 🐾❤️

When Bonnie and Clyde first came into rescue, they were absolutely covered in ticks. Bonnie had been spayed, but Clyde had never been neutered. Because Arkansas is experiencing some of the worst cases of tick-borne diseases, we knew a simple heartworm test wasn’t enough. We ran a 4DX test, and thank goodness we did—both Bonnie and Clyde tested positive for Ehrlichia. One of them also tested positive for hookworms.

Thankfully, they had an incredible advocate in their corner. Stephanie from Raising the Bark grooming salon in Bentonville generously donated her services, giving Bonnie and Clyde multiple baths and helping remove the ticks before grooming them. Stephanie, thank you so much for your kindness and generosity! Your donated services saved the rescue at least $150. ❤️

After investing hundreds of dollars into their care, Bonnie and Clyde had an opportunity to transport out. But their foster family had fallen completely in love with them and asked if they could adopt instead. Of course, we couldn’t say no! 🥰

So, this is officially a foster fail! 🎉 We truly believe Bonnie and Clyde are going to have an amazing life together, surrounded by love, care, and plenty of room to roam.

And a huge thank-you to their former owner, who recognized that she was in over her head with two dogs who needed consistent grooming, medical care, and room to run. Instead of letting them struggle, she made the incredibly selfless decision to reach out for help. She wanted them to be safe, healthy, and loved—and that is exactly what we worked together to give them.

Sometimes rescue takes a village. This story is proof of that. ❤️🐾

Happy life, Bonnie & Clyde! We are so happy you found your forever home! 🏡❤️
