Tomorrow is Halloween at SVH!!!!

We will be sharing pictures of pets in costumes all day and the staff will be dressed up as the cast of Snow White and the 7 Dwarves.

And...... when you see Dr. Schreiber, please remember that you, the kind people of the internet, voted for this, 😆 🤣 😂 😹

Surgical Images!!!!! If you are squeamish don't look!

This sweet girl decided she needed a rock garden.....IN HER BLADDER!!!

Bladder stones (properly called uroliths) are fairly common and often require surgery. Here's the radiograph, before, and after images of a successful surgery!

If you happen to spot a mini-Dr. Schreiber hiding somewhere around the hospital... just know that I left the staff unsupervised for a little too long! 😆

They took the opportunity to hide tiny photos of me all over the hospital while I was out last week, and I'm STILL finding them!

If you spot one, feel free to let me know. I'm the only one in the dark 😄 🤣 😂.

I absolutely LOVE this team. Life is too short not to have fun, and I'm here for it, lol.

Each Friday at SVH we are taking a moment to recognize and shout out other local small businesses. We are such a believer in supporting our local small businesses in our community, and we're now proud to be among these ranks as a family owned small business!

This week our spotlight is on Foley Brunch & Supper Club! This local small business has been serving the town of Foley for decades. Here is a bit more of their history:

"Foley Brunch & Supper Club, formerly known as Foley Coffee Shop, according to some historians is said to be the oldest dining establishment in Baldwin County that is still in operation. Its origins, beginning as a bakery, in downtown Foley and later relocating in 1964 under the ownership of Mr. Franklin. Alongside his wife and daughter, Mr. Franklin successfully managed the coffee shop. In 1990, Donald "Woody" Woodburn, an experienced restaurant industry professional, saw an opportunity to acquire Foley Coffee Shop. Woody's ownership spanned 28 years, during which Foley Coffee Shop became renowned for its delightful coffee and welcoming ambiance. Eventually, Woody decided to sell the business. Marcos Aguilar took over Foley Coffee Shop from Woody but after nearly five years, he decided to sell. Daniel Cox IV and Marti K. Webster, owners of a successful nearby business, expressed interest in acquiring Foley Coffee Shop. Impressed by their track record, Marcos believed they would be capable stewards of the Foley Coffee Shop. On November 15, 2022, the sale was completed, coincidentally marking one year since Daniel and Marti's initial visit to Foley Coffee Shop. With the acquisition, they are enthusiastic about expanding their hospitality group and envision Foley Brunch & Supper Club as a gathering place known for a warm atmosphere, unforgettable service and unforgettable moments aiming to positively impact the lives of their staff and loyal customers while honoring Foley Coffee Shop's legacy."
