SPECIAL FOSTER NEEDED FOR NESSIE! β€πŸ™

Nessie is only 9.5 months old but she is still SO scared of the world around her. We are urgently looking for a patient and loving foster family to bring her home and help her blossom into a confident girl!

Nessie came to us from a cruelty case so we know her past was difficult. In this shelter setting, she clings to her family members as a support. When it's time to meet new people, she is terrified. This makes it extremely difficult for her to get adopted. πŸ’” What she needs is a home that can work with her on confidence, meeting new people, and basic training.

Having another friendly dog in the home would be amazing for Nessie. 🐢 She loves other dogs and really learns from them! Please bring your dog to the shelter for a meet n greet to make sure they get along before going home. Also, please remember during a meet n greet that Nessie is going to be fearful of you and take time to adjust in the home. She needs patience & love!

We are so hopeful that someone in our amazing community would be willing to help Nessie. If so, please email [email protected] to help! πŸ“© She's going to continue to be overlooked here at the shelter unless we find some help for this girl. If you can't foster, share! πŸ“²

"We absolutely love Kevin and are so glad to have him as part of our family. He is already friends with our one dog, and we are still working on slow introductions with our older cat and other dog. We are making progress!

"After fostering we definitely foster failed! She is so loved. She loves to play with dogs and our cat. She is doing so good at potty training and has known how to sit and do paw for weeks. She is such a smart and goofy girl. She love following me around wherever I go."

Bonded Pair of Kittens Update! We're so happy for Forest & Smokey, finding their forever home! πŸ’™

"I just wanted to email an update that Forest and Smokey are settling in beautifully! We renamed Forest to Jamie Brisket and Smokey to Judy Porkchop (Jamie and Judy for short).
They made themselves right at home and almost immediately were playing and cuddling with each other and us! They seem to be fearless and endlessly curious and we are so delighted to have them in our home. Jamie loves riding on Matt's shoulder and discovering every inch of the place while Judy will chase toys all day. When they get tired they curl right up with us for naps. We can't wait to show them the rest of the house!"
