⛔ Security Checkpoint!⛔
This is a checkpoint to see if you qualify to adopt (or foster) the BEST dog ever!🐾

Security has been with High Country since December 2025! She is currently in an amazing foster home, but will need a foster takeover from June 20th-July 4th. Please read more about her as she really struggles in the shelter!💛

Security is crate trained, potty trained and the best adventure buddy! She also knows how to use a doggy door and is nondestructive in the home.
Security can be particular about who she likes so please contact her foster to set up some meet and greets with everyone that lives in your home.🐾
She really wouldn't do well with other animals in your home, so she is asking to be the apple of your eye, only pet!🍎
Security has very high energy and thrives on an active lifestyle with lots of jobs and tasks to keep her mind and body busy.🤓

From playful puppies and cuddly cats to other small critters, these pets are getting a taste of home life while they wait for their forever families.

Foster pets often thrive in a home environment, giving us valuable insight into their personalities, habits, and what kind of family will be the perfect match for them. Many are already learning household routines, making the transition into their new homes even smoother.

🥔 Meet Tater! 🥔

At just 7 months old and 35 pounds, Tater is the perfect mix of playful puppy and loyal best friend. This handsome boy loves people, adores cuddles, and is always ready for an adventure or a game with his dog pals!

Tater has been thriving in foster care, where he's shown just how confident, friendly, and easygoing he is. He's been having a blast playing with his foster sister Jennie, and the two are getting along wonderfully. 💖

Tater gets along great with other dogs both at the shelter and in his foster home, though he'd still love to meet any future furry siblings before heading home. He's also very treat motivated and eager to learn. While he's still working on his potty training, he's making progress and is sure to shine with a little patience and consistency.

🚧 Puppy Checkpoint 🚧

Look at how adorable these puppies are! 🐾

They all need a foster home to gain some weight and recover before they can become adoptable. 💛

Some of the puppies are awaiting distemper tests, but please don't let that scare you away!💕 If there are other dogs in the home they need to be fully vaccinated and over 1 year. There are no long term repercussions of fostering a distemper dog, distemper dies quickly once outside of the body!🐶

🏠Foster periods range based on the litter, but most are 2 week to 4 week foster periods. Fostering is completely free to you, we provide any supplies you may need to care for the sweethearts! 💛

Sweet Dolla is 3 months old and full of love! ❣ She currently lives with cats, dogs, and the occasional supervised time with chickens. 😎 She's learning potty training and other things that puppies do, but she can't wait to join your family and learn more!
