Hi everyone, I receive a lot of requests for boarding at my house and overnight house sitting with (occasionally) some rather disrespectful and rude responses when I politely decline.

I only do pet sitting in the clients home - no boarding at my house or overnight stays in a clients home. The reasons for this are simple, I have my own pets and horses I have to be there for and I won’t put them at risk by having other animals on site.

I will deal with all emergencies whether it is veterinary or evacuation and I am available to clients 24/7 by phone to respond with an unscheduled visit 24/7 as well.

I am there to take care of your babies as I would my own.

Our thoughts go out to all our pet parents and sitters who have struggled over the past month with floods and tornados.

This is the time of year we see more natural disasters and with that June has been named National Pet Preparedness Month. As a pet sitter, you have to be prepared for your own pets as well as helping your clients prepare their pets for an emergency.

We are in the middle of a terrible fox tail season. Can you see them in the back of this poor dogs throat? We've had them in the nose, the toes, the eyes, the ears and elsewhere, even causing abscesses under the skin. Please be on the lookout for those nasty, pokey grasses and keep your dogs from chewing on them!

Rescues are so special, he’s an old guy I adopted last Thanksgiving, he had some health issues but he’s all better now ❤️
