Motor City Possum Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting wildlife. We are also subpermitted for migratory birds(owls & falcons)

Our organization has 3 licensed rehabbers each specializing in specific breed of small mammals. We are a 501 (c)(3) non profit organization dedicated to caring for injured and orphaned wildlife. Our goal is to eventually release back in to their natural environment. While our primary focus is opossum, we intake other small mammals as well. (negative comments will be deleted and those posters will be blocked)

Our late summer babies will likely be with us until spring. They’re growing slow and would likely not survive a winter by the time they meet their release weight. So they will remain thankless squatters as we cook and clean for them and cater to their demands through the cold months ahead 🥴

It feels like there is no end to baby squirrels. This group from Inkster will be with us all winter,. We appreciate the effort made by the finder to get them to safety, Theyre warming up in an incubator and will start on hydration shortly.

We are still busy, busy, busy with baby squirrels. 🥰🥰 While we have about 45 squirrels outside in pre-release, we still have 60 or so waiting to go outside, and another 25+ babies who will stay with us until spring.

Some of our current residents. We still have a fair amount of possums. Some will likely be here through the winter as they won't be big enough to go before the cold sets in and the food sources diminish. Its a tough call but we want them to have every advantage.
