Peach Pie's 'National Parks' litter is turning out to be gorgeous! They love to romp around in the yard and are so much fun to watch on the live cameras. These puppies will be on the larger side of our dogs at 16"-17" and 25-30lbs. These pups are medium to high drive, higher energy and great for active homes with a lot of room! Abby's babies are 6 weeks old! Headed off to the vet tomorrow for an exam, vaccines, and temperature sensing microchips! Puppy Pick Day has been scheduled for Monday, July 2th. We are stepping up our microchip game. Our puppies will now come with temperature-sensing microchips! That means that your vet (or you!) can check your dogs temperature by simply scanning their microchip! As always, we cover lifetime enrollment so your pup can always find their way back home to you. Another cool feature of our chips- we always remain linked on your pups chip as their breeder. So if they get in a bind and you can't be reached, they will call us next! We are here for our pups for their entire lifetimes.

Abby's babies are 2 weeks old! Their little eyes are open, which means their little ears are open too! We are taking that opportunity to tell them how cute and sweet they are. They got their first deworming and unanimously agree dewormer is yucky! Sage and Lavender were especially dramatic about it. Yucky stuff, but keeps them healthy. Cilantro is our daughters favorite and gets extra snuggles from her multiple times a day. It will still be a couple weeks before we can tell eye color, but so far it does look like a lot of blues. They are starting to stand and crawl around!

Here is a little sneak peek into our health record keeping system. We have always been pretty meticulous about record keeping and we send that information home with each pup. Veterinarians are usually very happy to see all the information our pups come with. For these litters, the smallest birth weight was a tie between Ranger and Cilantro at .48lb. The biggest birth weight was Acadia at .71lb! We track weight pretty closely the first few days to ensure everyone is getting plenty of milk. If we notice slow growth we will ensure that pup is getting some one-one-one time with mom. Occasionally we will also supplement with formula, but usually our mama's are producing plenty at the milk bar. You will also notice that only one puppy out of 19 had hind dewclaws to be removed. We have been genetically testing and selecting for dogs that genetically are less likely to be born with hind dewclaws. That way, we can eliminate one more invasive procedure at birth alongside our commitment to not docking tails. Hope you all are enjoying the cameras!
