✨🇺🇸 HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY! 🇺🇸✨
Here are a few firework safety tips to keep in mind while we all celebrate this beautiful day with friends, family, & your beloved pooches!
•Make sure all pets are wearing identifications tags and on a leash at all times when outdoors.
•Keep your pets indoors as much as possible while the celebrations are occurring or make sure they are in a secured area when outside.
•If you are hosting guests, ask attendees to pay close attention to the doors and ensure no pets are able to sneak out unnoticed!
•If your dog has medication prescribed by their veterinarian for stressful events, this would be the perfect circumstance! We always recommend giving any prescribed medications at least 2 hours prior to the “stressful event”, but it’s hard to know when the noise will begin. The sooner the better, but always follow the dosage instructions and contact your veterinarian with any questions!
•Check your yard for firework debris before allowing pets outside to play or hang out. Even if you may not have set any off, debris can make its way into your yard easier than you may think and we all know how curious our canine friends can be! 😉
Our biggest piece of advice is to keep your fur babies safe and secured indoors as much as possible, and only allow supervised & leashed outdoor time. We will be right there with you keeping our boarding friends safe & happy!
