🎇 This 10-month-old St. Bernard mix is all fireworks and fun—full of energy, joy, and big goofy puppy charm!

Newt was surrendered to the Fallon Animal Shelter when he outgrew his home, but we know the right family will see him for what he truly is:
💙 House trained
🐾 Leash trained
🎾 Super playful and full of love

At nearly a year old, Newt is still just a big baby who’s ready to learn, bond, and bring a whole lot of heart to his forever home.

🐾 We’ll reopen on Saturday, July 5th from 10 AM to 4 PM for adoptions, donations, and visits.

We have some bittersweet news to share—our amazing Board President, Genevieve Jaslowski, is moving back home to Salt Lake City, Utah!

For the past three years, Genevieve has poured her heart into working hands-on with the dogs at CAPS, all while serving as our dedicated Board President this past year. Her passion and expertise as a professional dog trainer have made a lasting impact on both our pups and our team.

As she and her husband begin this new chapter, Genevieve is launching her own training business: Dusty Desert K9 - Dog Training ! She’ll continue helping families and their dogs with services including Day Training, Puppy Programs, Trail Etiquette, Behavior Modification, and In-Home Training.

We are incredibly proud of her and excited to watch her thrive. If you’ve worked with Genevieve or seen the amazing work she’s done, we’d love for you to leave her a review on Google (link in the comments) or her new page—and give her a follow to support her journey!

🐾 And one more piece of joyful news—our sweet girl Star is heading to Utah with Genevieve and her family! Star has found her forever home, and we couldn’t be happier for both of them.

Sirius and Aurora are the last two beautiful brindle babies from the litter whose mom was tragically shot and left on the side of the road 💔.
Against all odds, these sweet pups survived—and now, they’re ready for their happy ending.

These two have watched all their siblings find forever homes. Now it’s their turn 🐾💛

Let’s help Sirius and Aurora start their amazing new life with families who will love them as much as they deserve.
