Thank You to Everyone Who Attended the NGPA Goat-a-palooza to make the event a success. We loved seeing so many familiar faces and welcoming new friends to our growing goat community!

The demonstrations on ultra-sounding does and drawing blood were a hit and generated lots of great discussion about herd health and management. Your enthusiasm and participation are what make these events so great!

We are thrilled to welcome the new members who officially joined the Nevada Goat Producers Association (NGPA) at the meeting.

Where: The Barrel House (Multi-Purpose Room) at the C3 Event Center, 227 Sheckler Road, Fallon, NV

Why You Should Attend: Planning, Learning & Hands-on Demos
Our primary goal for this gathering is to plan the NGPA’s calendar of events for the coming year. We need your input, ideas, and enthusiasm to plan future events that benefit all goat producers in Nevada.
In addition to planning, we are excited to feature two valuable, hands-on demonstrations:
Bio-Security Testing & Ultrasound Demonstration
3. Pregnancy Confirmation & Fetal Count (Ultrasound Demo): Learn how to use ultrasound equipment to accurately determine pregnancy in does and even estimate the number of kids expected. This is a valuable tool for planning feeding and kidding schedules.
4. Blood Draw Clinic for Bio-Security Testing: We will demonstrate the proper technique for drawing blood samples for common bio-security testing (e.g., CAE, CL,Johne's and Q-Fever). If you are interested in testing your goats, you can bring them to the meeting!
The NGPA will provide the necessary testing supplies and forms to help you draw blood for shipping to the lab, but producers are responsible for the actual lab testing fees.

Connect: Network with other goat farmers, breeders, and enthusiasts across the state.
Feast: Enjoy a delicious potluck luncheon. Please bring a dish (main course, side, salad, or dessert) to share with the group. Let's make this a feast worthy of a palooza!
Plan: Discuss topics like health, breeding, pasture management, market opportunities, and what future speakers and events you want to see.
RSVP Required!
To ensure we have enough seating and materials, please RSVP by November 12th.
You can RSVP by replying to this email or by contacting:
• Name: Debra Hoffmann
• Email: [email protected]
• Phone: 775-217-3272
We can't wait to see you there and work together to make the Nevada Goat Producers Association stronger than ever!
